I got called "buddy" and "man" and "dude" which can be gender-neutral but still i didn't/don't like it that much, especially "buddy" because... it's masculine imo. And "man" is just a reminder. and then like other stuff too...

Sometimes confrontation is needed, but I prefer to do that in a way where the individual doesn't feel resentment and I don't feel at a disadvantage.
