6 7 ✾ She♡Her ✾ Posted January 11 Posted January 11 So, I noticed that the anonymous user accounts created for Sanderson Elimination (or whatever this is) have the special "RP Accounts" role. However, there is no option to filter for online RP Accounts in the online user list. Is this intentional, or should there be a filter for those accounts? Spoiler

Reveal hidden contents The rules for these accounts are specifically for use within the Sanderson Elimination subforum. They cannot post in any other subforum other than Role-playing and are carefully controlled by the moderators to ensure anonymously harassment incidents do not happen. As such, one of the rules for these games are: Quote 2) Do not use the anonymous accounts to PM any non-anonymous account, other than the accounts of the GMs. Please do not use your normal accounts to PM anonymous accounts. These accounts are also not supposed to be used for anything other than these specific purposes and don't really require a specific filter on the online user lists because they don't concern other users. There are also other kinds of roles, such as Guest which are people whose accounts' access have been revoked due to them not following TOS. You also can't filter for those.

Also, there are "Guests" that are just offline users I think, the online list is usually filled with them (like 300-400 and only like 20 logged-in users), so I usually filter just logged-ins.

Guests are viewers who do not have an account And it's REALLY not necessary to know if the RP accounts are online and it's probably a good thing if you can't determine their online status, since they're designed to keep anonymity of the sharder who has access to that account, so it just makes it harder to pin the two down.

I mean, it's not really necessary to know when basically all the other filter options are online either. Also, you can still see them, just not exclusively: I could probably make a bookmarklet (basically a little piece of code) that adds the option to see only RP Accounts. Would be super easy, all I'd need is a list of colors (does 17S even have an API?) bcz all the RP Acc names are "Color Animal" (e.g., "Green Lizard") Spoiler I guess ur right about anonymity. Edit: @Aeoryi done: Spoiler Edited January 11 by Theory
Chaos he/him Posted January 14 Posted January 14 Yes, it is an intentional exclusion. You do not need that as a filter. I'm sure the vast majority of the Guests listed are not legitimate users. I was looking at Google Analytics, and traffic is massively swarmed by China. (Like, more than double the US traffic.) I'm sure it's a lot of bots from there. I don't really understand why you're trying to do this or why it matters.
