The grenade explodes, but a man behind home envelopes the room in fire.

She stumbled to the ground, protecting her instruments.

Alym was experiencing the bizarre feeling of half of his body feeling like it's being burned off and the other half feeling like it's about to get hypothermia. "Is that a good idea? It's kind of a target if more of those people come here."

Carlton first grabs the strange weapon, then dives out of the building.
