so imma accelerate the plot!

 

Nikolas looked at the soldier, hands in his pockets. “I just asylum, please. The Masks are after me, and I would rather not die.”

A small cylinder rolled between their feet, hissing and emitting a smal stream of smoke.

The soldier threw himself over it, shouting. “Grenade!”

There was a pop, and a wave of energy. The soldier’s body went limp and caught flame, heavy cloths of his winter outfit a suitable fuel for the incendiary. 

Three masked figures with rifles entered through a broken window, shedding snow onto the ground. They each threw another grenade, one at the tables, one at the bar, and one at the densest part of the crowd.

They have some amount of armor - cloth and rubber.

(if you must know the suits were stolen from Noble, and that’s how they have access to oil byproducts)

Carlom grins "I can." He raises two guns. One a slim barreled pistol built for accuracy, the other looks like a net gun. He expertly blasts off the fuses with the slim pistol, then raises his other one and shoots a net over the soldiers.

Mars runs into the crowd shoving people away and picks the grenade up holds it close to him and sprints to a window to throw it out

Nikolas and the rest of the soldiers burst into flame, dying. The fire missed you.

Finally, the soldier revealed a cloak full of lit grenades.
