I have nooooo idea if this is the right area to put this topic, but here goes anyways

Also somebody might have already asked this somewhere but I’m too lazy to look for that. Or maybe it happened in the books and I’m just ignorant.

I was thinking about how in WoR how Tyn is able to draw an Angerspren when she isn’t actually angry (I assume as Shallan commented on how it was impressive she was good enough to draw one), and I was thinking about faking emotions on Roshar. So I figured, what if a Lightweaver made fake emotion spren to help fake an emotion? Could Aon lightweaving (perhaps on a seon) do this? Would investiture detection be able to tell them apart? Uh there are probably other things I should have thought about but didn’t, but oh well. Whooooo wants to prove me a complete silly here?

Well sure, but the concept of drawing spren when you’re not actually feeling that is what made interested

Like conjuring up some illusory painspren to help sell a fake injury? I think this would probably work on a normal person.

Glad this was moved, because I'm about to reference Mistborn stuff. But I'll spoiler tag it just in case. Mistborn Era 1 spoilers:

Spoiler

I think Marsh's explanation of Seekers (Bronze Mistings) are our most detailed example of Investiture detection. Based on his description, each type of Investiture has its own rhythm (similar to the rhythms of Roshar). He specifically breaks down the different variations on Preservation's tones that corollate to Allomancy. But we see similar things happen on Roshar with the tones of Honor, Odium, and Preservation.

Based on that, I'd say Investiture detection would usually be able to tell the difference because they'd pick up on the different tones and rhythms. But there may be a chance of fooling an unskilled detector that's only detecting Investiture and doesn't understand the subtle differences between the various forms of Investiture.

You should be able to create illusionary spren in this way, and I'm surprised this isn't in the books anywhere, now that you mention it. As for the Investiture detection, it would depend upon whether you were identifying Investiture, like @Jult said, or simply looking for sources of Investiture with sand or something similar.
