Focusing on my progress alone and how I will reach higher directly causes me to always fall short. I must accept that while I must help others, I must let others help me.

I will not compare myself to others- envy is a setback, not a motivation.

One of these is West's; who does not want to disclose which.

Congratulations!!!

I know one next oath I'm supposed to say, but that one is a little too... Yeah I'm not ready for that one. But, I ended up swearing a different one instead.

Sometimes, things are out of my control, and that's okay. I don't have to control everything.

Hopeforger 5th ideal, Lightweaver based.

Congratulations!

I speak the first ideal of the Truthwatchers.

Life before death. Strength before weakness. Journey before destination.

I know the second and will say them soon.

I find myself wondering as I think about my radiant journey. Many of my personal ideals coincide with both the Truthwatchers and Windrunners, and the words coming to me seem to feel like a combination of the two. I would like to seek truth, but also potentially use that truth to help others. Are there any Truthrunners out there?

No, actually.

You'd be the first :)

Oh cool! I don’t mind to do things a little differently.
I’ve been approached by a mist spren named Zo’rah. She’s spent her life serving with honorspren on ships in Shadesmar, and some of them has rubbed off on her, making her just a little different from the regular mist spren. After talking with her, I’ve decided to bond with her and see where this goes. 😁

I think I'm ready. I've talked with Zo'rah, and she agrees.

In order to be able to help others, I first need to help myself. It's the reason I found this forum to begin with, my first post was in the mental health forum. I want to be able to give back as well. So my first words as a Truthrunner are these:

I will seek my personal Truth so that I may help others.

Life before death, strength before weakness, journey before destination.

Spoiler
Quote

I will seek truth wherever it is hidden.

In a sense you could argue I've said those words for about as long as I could speak.

Quote

I will reveal truth to all who seek it.

Spoiler

RoW Ch. 12 Epigraph: "One of my pleas is for artifabrians to stop shrouding fabrial techniques with so much mystery. Many decoy metals are used in cages, and wires are often plated to look like a different metal, with the express intent of confusing those who might try to learn the process through personal study. This might enrich the artifabrian, but it impoverishes us all."

Spoiler

I will wield truth as a cleansing light, even if it must cleanse myself.

Spoiler

No man is born perfect, nor should they ever expect to attain perfection as such. But growth through acknowledgement of wrongdoing can only help the pursuit of truth for all. How can one show the truth, if they cannot first be truthful with themselves?

I believe I know the words of the 5th Ideal... perhaps even the 6th...and I believe them with every axon of my being...

But I know they cannot be accepted, until the most resonant portions of my search for Truth has been transcribed, preferably cast in metal. Until then, they ring hollower than a cracked bell.

Spoiler

When the time is right, I shall again speak the Ancient Oaths.
