at an ancient temple site in Europe, a rune stone was broken

and it released all the ancient myths

yk Greek, Norse, Egyptian monsters and gods

are invading the real world

basically a mythological apocalypse

Who in the modern world names their kid eclipse and then trains them in the spear and dies their hair half black and half white? 

If you want them good at weapons you've gotta make em a HEMA re-enactor of something.

I personally know how to use the sword very well, It's not that odd, I intend to learn the spear sometime, and I already know a bit.

The name eclipse was the result of their hair which is a natural co-dominance trait that was very lucky

I mean I classically fence so who am I to judge what kind of sword you know? Hema or just for fun?

I mean, I guess, it's possible to have heterochromatic hair and it's usable not a split sideways (I say this as someone with two different hair texture on the sides and crown.) But still   the poor thing would have been bullied by other kids relentlessly for thei name alone.

I know the Katana best. I know how to use a longsword and a little bit of greatsword.

Odd name, odd hair, both plausible. He wasn't treated the best in school, although he never let what other people thought of him affect how he viewed himself.
