"Not in that, you're not," Sandra replies. She drags the boy up to Ahmed's old closet and grabs one of his suits, a well-cut, dark velvet and silk. She runs a brush made of ivory through his hair and sprays perfume on him while Rex isn't looking.

With that, she presents her son to Jasmine. "You look so handsome!" she squeals, fussing over his collar. 
"You get em!" She says. 

Ahmed looks at him with wild eyes "If you meet the princess. Tell her..." He cuts off coughing. 

On that disturbing note,  Rex leaves, walking to the caste, using his magic to keep the dust off of him. 

15 minutes later...

Rex arrives.

Komat took me to the fields today. He and I looked up at the stars together. He promised me that he’d bring a star down and place it around my finger. I laughed, he was being so cheesy I had to! I told him I didn’t need a gift of him. He smiled and said I deserved all the stars in the sky, but not even he had the power to bring them down for me. Corny as he is, I love him so much.
