Aerol stood near a blue plastic kayak, her eyes on Sharlin, who was on the far side of the island. Near him was a very sturdy orange kayak, with a pack of supplies on the front, a pair of oars, and a backup pair stored on the side. Various other supplies and weapons were scattered around.

Sliding it into the water while swimming underneath to hopefully avoid notice. He emerges from the other side and grabs the kayak firmly with both hands before running away. It'll usually happen when it's agitated, but if it's trained well you can ask for it when you need it. It can't be constantly provided, but will give a burst of extra ability when needed. 1

Before anyone else could get there, she ran around the beach, grabbing as many crossbow bolts as she possibly could. She also grabbed another pack, because why not. Some black birds circle in the sky, almost as though they’re waiting for something.

There wasn't anyone around at the moment, so it was probably safe. She pulled off her bag, and started digging around in it. She pulled out the crossbow and bolts she'd thrown in their, and carefully set them on the grass. You definitely should've grabbed a close-range weapon. "I know, I already realized that . . .
