While it seems we've got someone capable of restoring health, I think we need a healer that primarily heals.

Heartache realizes the lack of a dedicated healer, and decides to go back to her olden cleric-healer hobby; besides, there's only so many times one can off a person subtly before it gets old. and it gets old quick. (For a kitsune, anyways, she's been an assassin for a "mere" 50 years.)

"I think I'm an alright healer."

“I use cantrips to make weapons from ice, but I can’t water shape something that isn’t made from water.” Alvar gets his money and pays for the potions. “If you don’t have the poison, that’s fine. I think I need to go, anyway. Pleasure doing business with you.” Alvar takes the healing potions and jogs back to the castle, arriving just in time.

The witch shrugged as he left. She didn't have a poison that would've helped him anyway.

Sure! You'll be on team one with me, Elan, and a few others. Panda will be replacing the NPC Allen, because unlike our other npc he isn't important and was only there for number purposes. The teams won't be super relevant for the RP, because we'll hopefully get past the selection process and into the actual job quickly.

A few memories of a similar situation arise, a special person by his side. I wonder where she is now?. Pangs of sadness colouring the memories. "So what are you guys good at?"

"I'm good at cooking, and killing things," Nera said.

She slowed her jog into a walk was the made it back to the townhall building.

Inside, Lerren and Lord Igenis were waiting in the main hall now, instead of the sitting room from before.

lol that's great

Okay, after some consideration, we have a lot of people involved now.

Most people were gathered back at the city hall by now, as the hour for preparation was over.

(I'll avoid moving the plot forward while Panda makes a sheet).

Heartache appears as though she hasn't slept in... a long time.

She... seems to be powering thru though.

Looks good!

(also the background is giving Elrond? Just me? Okay.)

What's happening:

Everyone is being tested to gain the position of bodyguard for lord Ehlu. Lady Genuhk will be judging, and has organized the whole thing. Master Igenes is the Head Scribe of the city, he and his assistant Lerren are helping out with the hiring process as well.

Everyone met in a room where they were introduced and then separated into teams. They had one hour to prepare and gather their own supplies. Team #1 went for a warm up jog. and Team #2 went shopping.

Now, Lady Genuhk will introduce the challenge that the team's are going to compete at.

Everyone (I think I said this before, but just in case):

! ! Don't worry about having to leave the rp if your team looses, plot is going to get in the way so we won't have one winner ! !

When everyone had once again gathered at the city hall, Lerren lead both groups through the hall and out a back door.

This lead to a small courtyard with a stables to one side. One side of the courtyard was open the road, leading out into the city again. Traffic bustled past, though the 3 walls of the courtyard muffled a lot of the noise.

In the center of the paved stone area were two wagons, one painted bright blue and the other red. They were unbelievably tacky.

Master Igenes was sitting on a bench to the side of courtyard. Lady Genuhk stood next time.

Lerren lead them over.

"Everybody ready?" Igenes asked cheerfully. He actually looked excited. "This should be fun!"

Lady Genuhk rolled her eyes.

"This is the last point where you can back out," She explained firmly. "After this point, you will be held responsible for leaving without permission."

yep, just interact with your team and pretend you were there the whole time

"Very well," Lady Genuhk said, continuing now that confirmed they would stay in.

"Allow me to explain our challenge." She gestured at the brightly colored wagon.

"The premise is simple, two wagons, two teams. You will be given a wagon to protect as it makes it's journey from Tarjin to our neighboring city Morduno."

"The highways these days filled to the brim with thieves and monsters," Master Igenes explained. "Each wagon is full of priceless treasure from Lord Ehlu's treasury. I'm sure you can imagine that if he finds out you were responsible for loosing a chunk of his wealth, he won't be likely to hire you."

Lady Genuhk nodded. "It couldn't be simpler, just protect the wagon until it get's to Morduno. Make it there in one piece and you'll be considered for the job."

Master Igenes waved a wrinkly hand at the wagons. "We'll each travel with one of the teams so we can see your progress. Team 1 will take the blue wagon, and I'll go with them. Lady Genuhk will be with the 2nd team in the red wagon."

"If we don't have any questions, go ahead and get in your respective wagons."

Nera sheepishly raised her hand.

"What?"

"I've never been to Morduno, how long will the journey be?"

"Around three days."
