"DANGIT JULY YOU'RE STILL HERE AREN'T YOU," He shouted, glancing wildly around and trying to figure out where the bolts were coming from. The barrel and shadows of the alley disguised him well enough.

"Cut it out, March," she said, not putting effort into it anymore.

"Hey don't give our location away!" July whispered a little annoyed. "If you're going to help out maybe you could throw rocks or something."

He started digging through his bag praying he had a few more bolts stashed away.

"I'm sitting on a barrel in plain view," she whispered back. "He already knows where I am. And I'm helping by giving you just a little more cover."

He frowned at her, clearly frustrated. "I came back here to be less of a target--that's not helping at all!"

July slung his bag onto his shoulder and jogged deeper into the alley, when the buildings ended he turned a corner and started running perpendicular to the fight. He'd find another hiding place where he could work with what ever other projectiles he had left.

She sighed. In her head, her being here made it a) less likely that March would see July and b) less likely that March could accurately attack.

July stopped a few alleyways over. This one was wider and had no cover, but it was dark enough that he thought it'd work.

He crouched down by the wall, digging through his bag. He was all out of crossbow bolts so that thing was useless. He did have a sling and pebbles, but he wasn't very practiced with it and kept it as a last resort. 

July pulled out a slim throwing dagger. Also not his strong suit but better then the rocks. He peered around the side of the building he was crouched against.

Out of the square the fight was getting more intense. March was bleeding in a few new places and August had a cut on his forehead. July briefly wondered if this is what it'd have been like to watch his fight with September, instead of hiding the tavern. 

He pushed himself out of the past. He was helping this time and that's what mattered. Carefully, he watched for an opening to throw the knife at March.

There's a constables station a few blocks away. Some lazy looking soldiers were lounging outside, bottle in hand.
