Acolyte of Radiance Posted July 30, 2024 Posted July 30, 2024 (Wrong board, idk how to move it)Galivar wonders about capturing the storm father in a gemstone simulator to how the radiants trapped mishram.in books I often find ending spoilers in the first chapter or prologue.adittionaly,in a wob somewhere Brandon said the ending or setting is said the beginning of a stormlight book somewhere.crackpot theory idk. 2
CtrlAltDepressed Posted July 31, 2024 Posted July 31, 2024 I dont think that is a crazy theory. I would be surprised to see the Stormfather make it to the end of Stormlight unharmed. 1

Brandon hid the ending to Mistborn in the first chapters of Final Empire. He has claimed go have hidden the ending to Stormlight somewhere in the first two books. A lot of people have claimed its: Spoiler The world had ended, and Shallan was to blame. I think that this is wrong primarily because if (very soft "if") that theory is correct that wouldn't be the ending, that would be how the final desolation began. I think better candidates are: Spoiler He must pick it up, the fallen title, the tower, the crown and the spear. I hold the suckling babe in my hands, a knife to its throat, and I know all the world wishes me to let the blade slip and grant us further breath to draw. The death is my life, the strength becomes my weakness, the journey has ended. A man stood on a cliffside and watched his homeland fall into dust. The waters surged beneath, so far beneath. And he heard a child crying. They were his own tears. I have been looking, and I can't find it but I recall it being said by Sanderson that the tower will be a metric bajillion times more important in the back 5 as a source of light. In my mind, I believe this means something will happen to the Stormfather. 5

In my mind, I believe this means something will happen to the Stormfather. I've got it. Kaladin picks up the title Hoid dropped. Namely, Jasenah's boy friend. He then becomes King of Urathiru and Jasenah who is very pragmatic marries him. And Kaladin as a wedding present kills whoever killed her uncle. For some reason, it seems like when people ascend, they become less interesting in my mind. Perhaps it is because the power binds them. 2

I think this could definitely happen. Something bad is likely to happen to the Stormfather, it is pretty foreshadowed from Oathbringer in the trial all the concern about Dalinar potentially being able to kill him, and then what you just mentioned as well. He could be trapped in a gem, he could be killed like Phendorana, or bad effects if Dalinar loses the contest and becomes a Fused. This seems similar to what you say - death rattle: Quote The day was ours, but they took it. Stormfather! You cannot have it. The day is ours. They come, rasping, and the lights fail. Oh, Stormfather! I think this is maybe a trick on Brandon's part. The calls out to the Stormfather here are not merely a curse/exclamation but actually sorrow over something that happened to him and that is why the lights fail.
