IMPORTANT QUESTION

  1. 1. What do you want to happen to this RP when the current plotline ends?

    • Start another RP of the same characters, like a season 2
      3
    • Keep going with no plan at all
      0
    • Make new characters and have an RP of a similar concept, but, effectively with a new party
      3
    • End the RP (THIS ONE BETTER NOT WIN BUT I FELT I HAD TO ADD IT ANYWAYS)
      1

Tenth nodded, then looked at him questioningly. “You first?”

“No; I have something I’d like to try first. And anyway, I’m not the one you’d want to clear any threats if there’s a room full of guards or something.”

“Who, then?”

Sleeper's head perks up, even while he fights Kaleb.

"So, should we run away from the collapsing building and the police officers, or are we going to stand our ground?" Aki asked, mildly irritated. Wasn't this the sort of thing you ran from?

Nick shrugs. “I think the building is done collapsing for now. Even if it starts collapsing again, we should be able to get out alive through teleportation. I for one would like to stop the guy who’s perfectly willing to explode his own employees to try to save himself from us.”

Well said.

Cars, very similar to those of earth (Just using this as a comparison, I know none of your characters are from modern earth *I think*) with blaring horns drive in, and a few dozen officers in red uniforms leap out, bearing large, transparent shields, guns, and most oddly, a small squad with what looks to be swords.

The blades are slightly curve, and they space themselves around the perimeter of police at the front, towards the building, as if they were a necessary part of the group.

Civilians run screaming from the building, and the police begin to spread out as more of them show up, sectioning off a large area, around a kilometer squared with the center being the exploded building.

A group, clearly for dealing with further bombs, dressed in something to the shape of old plate armor but made out of some kind of black, metallic substance, and slightly disformed to make better visibility and mobility, run into the building, bearing tools and gadgets, probably for bomb defusal.

I don't know much about how bombs work so hopefully that won't be too important.

Nick sighs. “Well, there goes my plan. I’d bet - actually, I’m not sure what I’d bet, but that’s not important - that those medieval-y things are magic and from another universe, so the police would be supplied, and thus controlled, by Telecorp or whatever. At least that means they’re not squandering their invention; maybe society is benefiting after all.”

“But how do we know that the police are getting these magics from the one teleporting us around. Maybe someone else is supplying them.”

“Hopefully. If so, we can try doing this through legal channels. Of course, all they’d have to do is postpone the trial until after they fix the Time Machine.”

“Perhaps that alone can help us. A fallback. If we mysteriously disappear and then show up on their show while waiting to take action against them, it could prompt protest.”

“Alright then. We go talk to them, and if it goes bad, you can get us out of there.”
@The Stormfather, Nick approaches a riot police that doesn’t seem to be doing much.

"Yeah but the dust and debris could get us . . . oh well," Aki said, abandoning caution.

He followed Nick as he approached the officer, curious on how he would handle things.

"Who's responsible?" The officer asks, intrigued. He motions over to another officer near him, one bearing a sword.

“I believe this was staged by the company itself. Are you aware of their game show? They effectively kidnapped people - including me - from other dimensions to go through dangerous situations. Some of us are from worlds where violence to solve problems is ordinary, which makes the people who kidnapped us in the first place worried. When we unionized and managed to get here instead of the intended destination, I believe the CEO panicked and staged the explosion to tighten security. The person who was able to get us out in the first place agrees. I’d be happy to gain access to and bring forth his evidence, but I believe he wishes to remain anonymous.” Nick purses his lips. “I’d be happy to go into custody until the trial if you deem me a criminal. I would have to retain several objects of exotic technology in order to keep me alive after I was dropped into a volcano, and others to protect me if I am brought back into the game show against my will, but I would not resist. I do not speak for the others, however; they come from varying governmental states and societies, and run the gamut between obeying their authority without question, and wishing to overthrow their own government.”

Tenth seemed almost outraged at the offer at first, but he recognized its value. “I will do the same. I am new, though.”

"Kills Auton soldiers."

"I... Well, there's a chance that could be true. I watched a bit of the game show, when everyone thought it was fake and that those people... you... weren't actually dying. Here... That guy in the gameshow, he could do some crazy things with that suit of his. Show me something.... Yeah, give me some proof that you are the guy in the gameshow and I'll.... Damn I don't know what I alone can do, but I'll try to help."

They can't hear me, if you hadn't already guessed.
