Steel he/him Posted October 19, 2014 Posted October 19, 2014 (edited) So, I was reading the Dragon Reborn, and noticed Carridin was called an Inquisitor. He is one of the leaders of an organization that tortures people, and is heavily involved with religion. (the organization, not Carridin) Sound familiar? Was it like a subconscious thing, calling them Inquisitors in Mistborn? Edited October 19, 2014 by Steel
WeiryWriter he/him Posted October 19, 2014 Posted October 19, 2014 I doubt it, "Inquisitor" as a pseudo-religious rank is hardly unique to the Children of the Light. It's probable they are both references to the Inquisitions of our world, like the Spanish, which were very unpleasant for a lot of people (the Steel Ministry does have parallels with the Catholic church after all). 2
