OK. I'm writing it so that LW arrives in the Museum while Funtimes is still preoccupied, collecting a few dinosaurs and then swiftly returning to the ground to reach the Sadry home. Funtimes can enter the scene once the meeting has started to progress--that seems to fit her modus operandi more. She doesn't strike me as a punctual sort of woman. :P

No, not really, no. :P

Voidus, would the MEE know about Lucentia yet? If they do, I'm just gonna have Sidestep forget about her because I want Mommy to see her, be shocked, and determine to help anyone who would want to end her and Lightwards.

Lucentia didn´t make a puplic apperance, so I doubt they would know her by name but it´s probable enough that someone noticed the giant evil column made from diamond.

Right, museum. Sorry, I'm super tired this morning.

Evidently it happens to the best of us. :P

Sound´s good to me, if you feel like it Lightwards can give some orders for Nighthound, which he may or may not follow, in the mean time, otherwise I´ll find something for him to do.

It's probably a bit early to send Nighthound to The Dalles (however entertaining that would be.) Maybe Nighthound could head a nocturnal attack on CorpseMaker's territory, his sole purpose being to slaughter as many ordinary people as possible? Lightwards will be looking for a way to send a message, and that would be an eerily effective way to do it.

Maybe Lightwards is very impatient? :P

Doable but we should clear the likelihood of it being noticed first. You know, Streetwise and all that.

That's probably a good idea.

Just so you all know, I am trying to get the next Portland post up. I keep getting distracted by RL affairs, but at least half of it is written now.

Also, Flashpoint desperately needs somebody to love. He'll wind up as sad and lonely as Backtrack if he stays single around Summoner/Smokey much longer. :P

Was that a call for....SHIPPING? :D

"Yes," Kobold replied, perhaps not showing the true fear that TwiLyght's enthusiasm warranted. "I believe it was."

Goody.

Mhmmm.... Jingleberry is as good as out of town, who isn´t taken yet... maybe Night-Mare or Parity? I´m not the best shipper for shipping´s sake but give me a proper romance and  (alternatively I have lots of no-yay as well)

Oh well. I need a Portland character anyway. I could make one for that purpose.

Creating a character simply to be anotherones love interest probably isn´t a good idea. That and there´s always a chance he´s supposed to be a tragic single. :P

Posted (edited)

Let's see....we could do....

Flashpoint/Night-Mare

Flashpoint/Panacea

Flashpoint Revolution (left out the backslash because it's more awesome like that)

Now for the ships that would send him toward Evilsville....

Flashpoint/Cricket

Flashpoint/Lucentia

The ships that would make eyes bleed...

Flashpoint/Lightwards

Flashpoint/Nighthound

So? What will it be? :D

Edit: Does anyone have the link to the summary doc Voidus made for Portland?

I also want a Portland character, so I will make one anyway. That just reminded me. I'll go do that. (also what's going on in Portland?)

Sure go ahead. A three and a half way faction war between The Empire of light (chaotic evil), Corpsemaker (no proper faction name yet but sometimes gets called something with baselisks or alliteration) (neutral evil) and Thoughtown (lawful evil) plus an Minor Epic Empire (canon fodder). (Talking about what happend, were any progresses made with that summary doc?)

I'm not sure. Skimming the Portland thread in the meantime could at least give you a sense of the characters and where the best fit for your character would be.

As it turns out, Lightwards is still bad with appointments and still not present. Otherwise, the illusion would totally have been shot. :P

Talking about the illusions, given that he can create them both general and selective, how would they interact with cameras?

They only affect brains, so cameras would capture the real image.

Oh Calamity no.

I'm a little lost... has Team Funacid already gone to the Sadry residence, or will they be getting there after Lightwards and Altermind?

I left it open for whatever. I just needed Lightwards to be there so that Altermind could have dinosaurs to spot. :P

I just decided that they needed some more interest and Flashpoint was a good one to have longing for a relationship.

FlashMare could work. Mare would need some development first, but its possible.

Panapoint is probably my favorite of the options.

Flash Revolution has an awesome name (of course), and could actually work on Flashpoint's side, at least. Flashpoint doesn't have as bad of an opinion of vanillas as most Epics.

FlashCricket wouldn't work for reasons undisclosed.

Dragon, an Epic with the ability to transform into a pure black as night dragon. Dragon's dragon form is strong, fast, can fly, breaths purple fire or purple lightning, depending on his preference, and is huge. Like, the size of a small building. Dragon wants to be useful, and he's basically a merc. He also can summon smaller white dragons the size of a person to his aid. Dragon collects gold.

1) He seems a bit OP for Portland. He could literally come in and smash all the alliances, killing everyone who couldn't heal or resurrect.

2) Where do the smaller white dragons come from?

Posted

I'll cut out the healing. He doesn't get healing. He's weak in his human state.

He shrinks when he gets the new white dragons.

He's still pretty OP. A dragon the size of a house with scales isn't going to be stopped by bullets, and if he can fly super fast and breathe fire, he can do some damage before reverting to his human state. If you need ideas, Voidus has some Epic ideas up in the first post in Epics of Oregon that you could adopt and build from.

Panapoint is indeed pretty nice. The alliteration also helps.

Flash Revolution could work from Revolution's end, depending on how atrocious Flashpoint started behaving. She's not as prejudiced as Sam is and definitely believes some Epics have good in them. This trait is about two-thirds personality and one-third naiveté.

Cricket would be completely disinterested in Flashpoint, but if the latter made a big deal about not being interested, she'd be quite offended. :P

That is a very cool idea, but I'd have to agree with TwiLyght--even with his various power modifications, he's way too powerful for Portland.

That´s what I guessed (and Nighthound after he heard Voidgaze´s rendition of the CM fight).

It could always have been a stray dinosaur.

I like the name PanaPoint and poor Revolution, everyone just wants her for the name not because of her personality. :(:P

As it turns out Flashpoint is a terrible dancer.

Okay, he'll be smaller. He's still impeverous to most bullets, except the highest calibers. He's not too fast, and can only breath fire if the weather is hot.

How much smaller, and how hot does it have to be for him to breathe fire (bearing in mind that 80 degrees F is considered a hot day in Oregon)?

Posted (edited)

No bullet immunity at all. It has to be extremely hot for him to breath fire.

What about the lightning and if he´s already shrunken where would the mass for smaller dragons come from, not to talk about what happens if they are killed.

It´s autumn with a winter inducing Epic somewhere in the vicinity, if I remember right, so I don´t think "hot" will come anytime soon.

Talking about edit´s, editing the old post for characters is more elegant than just posting a new one and makes it simpler to find everything.

I'm fond of Panapoint, but I also like Flashpoint Revolution for the latter's personality. I think a vanilla sympathizer and a sweet, sarcastic, somewhat naive hippie could work quite well as a couple.

In both Portland and The Dalles it's been mentioned that it's an unusually bright and sunny day. My headcanon is that Snowfall is pulling cold air from the surround areas to make it snow over Sacramento.

Agreed. They would make a cute couple, though the circumstances to bring them together would be quite difficult to arrange.

Not if Funtimes took it upon herself to become Portland's matchmaker.:P

How nice of Snowfall.

Was Funtimes going to bring her to the meeting? It could be a start, like the Unicyclist still not noticing Ray was their start. :P

Yes, that one's my favorite.

This is my second favorite. Flashpoint, I intend for him to become sympathetic with humans, but still above them when he uses his powers more. He will become a favored general among Thoughttown's troops.

And there's plans...

There is this meeting that they'll both be at.
