Edgedancer he/him Posted October 18, 2014 Posted October 18, 2014 So when Sightline teleports, anything touching him loses all momentum. He can also teleport unlimited times a second. And he can teleport into the exact same place. Sightline can fly. Or Levitate. Sounds like it, although he might flicker a bit or move jerkingly.
TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted October 18, 2014 Author Posted October 18, 2014 It´s the whole Too Good for This Sinful Earth trope. Doesn´t look despicabble enough. Awwww, they really are cute together. Why do you of all people call us monsters. More Nice Person in a World Full of Murderous Epics Syndrome. I tried to make his face look as punchable as possible. That's the scariest part of that picture.
Jo and the Bush all/any Posted October 18, 2014 Posted October 18, 2014 Dang it Voidus! I was going to make that a Surprise twist! That's why I wanted to fight a gunner. 1

Sorry In future keep the surprises away from the guy who creates Epics most of the day and spends the rest of the day thinking of interesting and unexpected uses of those powers (Also because I have two momentum-influencing Epics )

That's the scariest part of that picture. Close enough. ... Yeah but just look at Möbius wearing white and how happy they are and somewhere just outside the picture Nighthound is chearing them on. In case the hallowen RP ever gets going again, could this actually happen... I guess that depends on how sane Möbius is. Dang it Voidus! I was going to make that a Surprise twist! Voidus Posted October 18, 2014 Posted October 18, 2014 To be fair, if Sightline only blinks away he would reapear around the bullet that still has momentum and would get shot all the same just a bit under his skin. Not if he teleported the bullet with him, the bullet loses all momentum and falls harmlessly to the ground, and I'm of the opinion that Epic powers would do things like this automatically to protect their Epic.
Jo and the Bush all/any Posted October 18, 2014 Posted October 18, 2014 Exactly. I have an Image of General Zod in my Head. When he develops his flight powers in Man of Steel. Immunity to Bullets, and a Badchull look. Now I wish I had designed CorpseMaker with flight. Also, would anybody mind If I went back and rewrote a few scenes between my characters? Not changing any plot points or foreshadowing, but the original Post where Sightline sticks CM in a wall is bugging me. I want them to do more. 1

I dunno, this seems to finniky for a self-activation. By the same logic everyone that punches a fire Epic should burst into flames. But the trick should work, if Sightline constantly blinks around. Although, wouldn´t his clothes block this from working? Exactly. I have an Image of General Zod in my Head. When he develops his flight powers in Man of Steel. Jo and the Bush all/any Posted October 18, 2014 Posted October 18, 2014 Yes, Sightline's clothes will be very holy after a Gunfight. Otherwise he would be fine though.
Edgedancer he/him Posted October 18, 2014 Posted October 18, 2014 Yes, Sightline's clothes will be very holy after a Gunfight. Otherwise he would be fine though. Not really, bullets don´t simply disintegrate clothes and while I don´t know enough about balistics to say how bad it would be for Sightline he would have some major bruises at the least before they pierce the cloth and touch the skin, if not already holes. 1

Bursting people into flame wouldn't stop them from getting hurt, it would just hurt the person that hurt them. Not getting shot would actually prevent the damage, I think that given that it's a defensive use of ability it could automatically activate, kind of like the Reckoners jackets, they don't train to use them at all so they don't consciously turn on the shielding ability, it just automatically activates when they're in danger. Don't forget that most clothing isn't a solid weave, there are tiny gaps in the material where the bullet would touch the skin before it does any serious damage.

Don't forget that most clothing isn't a solid weave, there are tiny gaps in the material where the bullet would touch the skin before it does any serious damage. Yet again it isn´t really the same the force fields are a passive thing that throws itself up once there is a strong impact (I´m not going that argue with them not being foolproof given that they are only gifted) without finess a better anology would be if they don´t need the jackets, because the tensor automatically disintegrated all bullets that came close to them. Deciding what form of contact is harmful and which isn´t needs somekind of thought. While this does depend on the clothes in question, on average they would still need to push against him first, so we still have bruises at the least. What kind of clothes does Sightline wear anyway? Edit: Actually, I just remembered an instant of Sightline being shot, so this discussion is kind of a moot point, at least concerning auto teleportation and Sightline. Voidus Posted October 18, 2014 Posted October 18, 2014 You can try to run Jingleberry out of town with Hotwire, but one day she will return, and wreak a greater and more terrible vengeance than you can ever imagine! 2

Voidus Posted October 18, 2014 Posted October 18, 2014 That will only work if Nighthound is still in town. You'd think so, but Jingleberry has realized that she can justfollow Funtimes around for equal effect. I'm actually somewhat curious what she'd do in that situation.
Edgedancer he/him Posted October 18, 2014 Posted October 18, 2014 That will only work if Nighthound is still in town. For even more vengance she can call upon the help of her former mentor Temptation. They shall get rid of him easily.

I'm actually somewhat curious what she'd do in that situation. If she were followed by a minor Epic who made mistletoe appear whenever she was within three feet of Lightwards? She'd whirl on Jingleberry and give her the biggest kiss EVER until she got rid of the mistletoe. 1

TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted October 18, 2014 Author Posted October 18, 2014 Better than Lightwards' gut response of "throw her to the dinosaurs." Funtimes' solution would have the added bonus of making Lightwards extremely uncomfortable. Win-win! 1
Voidus Posted October 18, 2014 Posted October 18, 2014 Better than Lightwards' gut response of "throw her to the dinosaurs." She'd bring out her ultimate weapon, the fruition of the Aldo/Wes ship
Edgedancer he/him Posted October 18, 2014 Posted October 18, 2014 I wonder, do you guys thing Jingleberry would help setting up a date for Voidgaze and Big Al?
Voidus Posted October 18, 2014 Posted October 18, 2014 I wonder, do you guys thing Jingleberry would help setting up a date for Voidgaze and Big Al? She's usually more interested in setting up dates for herself than others But upon seeing the two of them I think she'd be struck with a sudden urge to help them out.

True, though I think much of her time would be spent strategically placing mistletoe along Altermind's daily paths. "But... you realize that's just an illusion, right? You know he doesn't really look like Brad Pitt?" "Maybe I'm just a shallow person. Come right along over here, cutie!" 4
