It´s a minor thing but it is weird even in the context of Funtimes powers, in that it requires knowledge that Funtimes obviously doesn´t have, namely what time it is.

Epic powers definitely don't have to make sense, provided they remain consistent with their own rules. Maybe she based the watch off a clock that survived the Museum's transformation?

I suppose it could work, but if it's so weird it's interfering with suspension of disbelief in a world that's already pretty strange, I'll change it.

I think it's fine. It's the least of Funtimes' sins against rationality. :P

(And that was an awesome post in general, by the way.)

It probably could work, the problem I see more in this is the following. Funtimes already is strange, very strange and if we go and make excuses for why something even stranger could work, we risk slowly approching a point where she just does whatever. Granted, given how small a detail it is, I´m almost certainly overthinking this.

Anyway, it´s small enough that I won´t complain if you leave it in and as Kobold said the post is awesome. ;)

I took it out, and I've started thinking about some more restrictions for her. Such as: due to their speed, she can only transform a few (two or three) bullets at a time; if surrounded by a firing squad, her only recourse would be to teleport out, since she would only be able to turn a handful of those bullets into gummy bears. And, as far as taking people with her….what's the maximum number of passengers she's taken? Five? I think that's the most she'll be able to take.

Those limitations make sense. I've been wondering about her bullet limit for a while now.

Question: is there anything she could do against flying, organic perils? If Lightwards reanimated a flock of birds and ordered them to rip her apart, would she be able to combat them with transfiguration, or would she be forced to flee?

Sounds logical to me. (Adds the Ibuprofen rain to the list of things not to speak about anymore.:P)

Anyway, Nighthound, Ray and Voidgaze are now set up for the timeskip but stil open for interaction, in case someone wants to. Who can spot the corruption?

If there was enough material and time for her to put up a wall between herself and the birds, or to trap the birds in a cage, she could combat them that way. Otherwise, she'd have to flee, since she can't transform things that are already alive. Otherwise she'd have turned Nighthound into the world's creepiest teddy bear already. :P

Edit: *headdesk* I forgot about that. Maybe she only transformed a few of the bullets at a time, using the fact that the bullets are larger than the tablets to make more of them from each bullet while the rest flew into the wall?

Never have the words hug me induced more fear... how about turning him into a literal punching bag then? ;)

The magically homing bullets hitting a wall? Not sure if we can find an explanation for this one to be honest.

Backtrack might make a good teddy.

No one pointed out the corruption yet.

will come up with an explanation for this one. I am Fanfic Writer, Master of Retcon! :P

Still a little too creepy.

Maybe we're all in mourning and therefore denial about her corruption. Maybe we don't want to talk about it. Maybe we like Voidgaze just the way she is and don't want anyone to talk about corrupting her! Ever think about THAT, Edgedancer? DID YOU?

*sniff* Just….don't talk about it. Get out of here. Just move on.

I said move on!

Fight on! :D

What kind of object would Backtrack make then?

(add another topic to the list) This thing is an actual list now. :P

And there goes my plan for the MEE attack. <_<

Um….something that would not be hugged by a child and/or teenage girl? Like a lamp. Backtrack would make a good lamp. :P

Oh, be sure you put "Nighthound killing Lightwards and Funtimes and installing himself as Lord Ruler of Oregon." I know it's not really his style, but the thought is disturbing enough to make it an off-limits conversation topic. ;)

What, Corrupted!Voidgaze vs. the entire MEE? :P

Sheeding light on the past... that does sound good. ;)

Being the Lord Ruler of anything isn´t really Nighthound´s style... now killing on the other hand. :P

Not necessarily the entirety but the ones attacking Toughttown, there are,,, arrangements.

(Talking about that, someone still has to get Voidgaze back for that to work.)

Maybe VG decides to leave after her second encounter with Nighthound? No one would blame her. I'd leave after my first. :P

And his contact with children and teen girls will be kept to a minimum. :P

He sure does like his felonies and crimes against humanity, doesn't he? :o

Ah. More plans, I see.

It still surprises you that Nighthound is interested in murder?   :P

Yeah, there are a lot of secret plans being bandied about. I've been involved in... let me count 'em... six different confidential PM discussions this past month, all devoted to varying degrees of Oregon conspiracy. I've slowly become more and more paranoid about what secrets are lurking in other players' inboxes. :P

Unrelated, but I found a secondary icon for Lightwards POVs.

No, at this point, it would be shocking if Nighthound didn't do something creepy every page. And then I'd wonder what he was planning.

Plot twist: This is all a game being played by El Internet Denizen, a bored Epic who made the RP's events up to amuse himself. :P

But I know what you mean about the plans. Even as GM and therefore privy to a lot of plans, I'm still three steps from becoming Lightwards-level paranoid about just how many people are plotting to fly Fortuity in as a "surprise" for Nathan or something like that. :P

That icon is beautiful.

Fact: Nighthound is a creepiness Feruchemist, capable of storing his innate creep factor and unleashing concentrated amounts of it on choice occasions. :P

I'm assuming El Internet Denizen grows so fed up with Nighthound's creepiness, that he deletes Oregon just to get rid of him? Because that is a thing that would make sense.

That actually makes me wonder what Nathan would see if Sandman!Max put him to sleep. Would he have nightmares about being strapped to a table with Fortuity looming over him? Or would he dream about more recent concerns, like Nighthound and Lightwards? Hmm, I should start a PM chain with Fatebreaker and find out...

I hope the RP is still going by St. Patrick's Day 2015. Because methinks I have the perfect celebration saved to my computer now. :P

Alright, so I am in the process of working up a new Team Paladin post. Problem is, it's getting rather long. At what point should I bite the bullet and split it into two posts?

Also, I have roughly 8 posts or so left until Team Paladin reaches The Dalles. I think it's time to start thinking (at least in general terms, because 8 posts is rather far away) about how they should interact there. Any thoughts on how to bring them in?

This has been "Insane Fan Theories that Make Too Much Sense." Tune in next time to learn the truth about Koschei's cloak and what happened to his mother's drapes.

No, he turns it into a crossover with the Exorcist and Ghostbusters universes, whereupon the awesomeness causes Oregon to implode. :P

You know....I hadn't considered that yet. Probably both. Maybe one where Fortuity and Lightwards team up to punish him for impersonating an Epic.....:o Dang, that would be dark.

Oh! Do Revolution and Sam get Funtimes to make it rain Lucky Charms on Lightwards all day? :P

I like long posts. :)

It's hard to predict what the state of The Dalles might be by that point, making it even harder to say how Paladin could be brought in. How does Team Paladin generally enter a city? Do they barge in as flamboyantly as possible, or do they stealthily infiltrate a city before making their presences known?

Koschei's mother sounds like she had pretty badchull drapes. :P

Can Toymaker create a replica of the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man to rampage through Portland? Please tell me she can.

That would be dark. :o Little Sandman has quite the potential for shining spotlights on other characters' deepest fears. I vote he does this to Nighthound as soon as possible. :P

As if Funtimes would wait until St. Patrick's Day to do that. :P

I'll take that as a vote for posting it all, then! :D 4 viewpoints coming right up!

Their general MO is to infiltrate, acquiring all the information they can on a set of Epics (and any putative cultists), and wreck the power structure of the city. Of course, this is generally based on the fact that everywhere they've been so far has been ruled by Epics. Still working out Paladin would feel about Epics serving under a vanilla government. I don't think his worldview right now can handle it.

So do I. Bring on the long post!

That's why he had to kill her. She knew too much. :P

I hope so. :D

No kidding. I know exactly how that particular nightmare would play out, too. Though I advocate against it, unless Fatebreaker wants Funtimes to name Sandman!Max her number one enemy once she deduces why Nathan isn't sleeping anymore. On the Nighthound front, however, I am in enthusiastic support. :D

True, true. :D

Honestly, Sandman opens up a lot of intriguing opportunities in the RP, just with seeing what different characters fear the most. Would Remington dream about Koschei? Would Panacea dream of a world filled with beaten and battered people? What under Calamity would Funtimes dream about? :o

The panda shook its head sadly. Seriously. He was just trying to get himself a house in a neighbourhood that didn't explode or become swamped with zombies every 5 seconds. First Oregon, then Dalles, then Calamityville and now Portland. He was really running out of places to live. Maybe he should just immigrate to another country.

Glummly chewing a bamboo, the Panda left his Portland home in the searches of a new one.

Don't mind me. Just popping in for some RP.  :D  Doesn't mean I'm going to sign up.

I'm still wondering if this is canon, and whether Backtrack should notice it next time he's in Portland. :P
