Elsie, fascinated by Gift, watched it change to a knife.

Hopefully knives would be Elsie’s favorite weapon. That would mean Jenny would maybe get to teach her some stuff. Having decided that it was far too late to avoid drawing attention, she drew Sword. She began to fiddle with it a bit.

As they head into the boat, small holes appear in the side of the basin which it lay in, small enough for a small wire, and others even smaller ones open up at the same time. The original holes start to glow and before anyone can do anything shoot what looks like lasers to the opposite sides of the basin, when in reality they are glowing ropes (made to hold gods) and spiders, hundreds of them start pouring out of the holes, ones that they look both mechanic and real at the same time. Heading for the pair next to the boat. Hairy legs grasping the air in front of them.

Lucid begins to panic. he tries to hit them with the flat of one of his arrows as he begins to hyperventilate-

"Lucid!" Ashton yelled, swinging the borrowed sword at the spiders. "Breathe you idiot! You can't do any good if you pass out!"

He begins to breath slower- but still panicing.

"Are you okay?" She called, unable to turn and look at him because she was still trying to fight off the spiders. She shivered. Anything but spiders.

"Me too! But fear isn't a bad thing, I don't think-" Ashton yelped as one of the spiders landed on her.

Jenny proudly held up her dagger so Elsie could get a better look at it.

”This is Sword. It’s pretty great.”

She tossed the knife into the air, making it spin before she caught it again. Sometimes being a bit of a showoff could be fun.

Elsie gaped, eyes wide. "Woah! Can you teach me how to do that?"

“Umm…”

Teaching Ed, and even Aaron, was one thing. They had experience with weapons. Elsie, however, seemed to have almost none.

”Maybe once you get more experience. Tossing knives is already pretty dangerous, and not having much familiarity with weapons makes it even more so. I’d rather not make Jace heal any more today.”

Jenny smiled.

”I’d love to teach you once we get back to camp, though!”

Not much. Jenny has talked a bit with Kasa and Elsie. Kasa went to go find Terrance, who left again. Ashton and Lucid are still at the amusement park.

Spotlights illuminated the entire bowl, and they swear they see cameras appearing and focusing on them. Going live to Olympus Late Night TV, a producer announces from somewhere

he blinks, and shoots an arrow in that direction.

Elsie paused, just now considering that. "You're right. That's really weird." She said. "Today feels like it's lasted forever!"
