The baby bird had ducked its head below the side of the nest and out of sight, presumably to go to sleep, so Jenny shut her eyes again. She slowly started backing up, going in the general direction of where they’d been sitting. Without the chick to distract her, she had quickly become overwhelmed. Her fear of heights didn’t seem to be easing up yet.

Edgar helped her sit down again, then leaned against her, his arm around her waist.

Jenny sat stiff as a board, feet firmly planted on the ground. She still felt like a strong gust of wind could blow her over, though. She was glad that Ed was there with her. He’d hold onto her. He wouldn’t let the wind blow her away. He’s done a good job of that so far, and she trusted that he always would.

He held her firmly. He didn’t think anything would happen, but best to be sure. And maybe it would comfort her.

Jenny relaxed slightly. She was ok. She was safe. He wouldn’t let her fall, and nothing up here was going to hurt her. Everything was fine. She was starting to actually believe that. Being there with Ed canceled out a lot of the bad stuff.

Edgar felt her relax and smiled. It was working. And…well he enjoyed holding her like this. “I love you.”

“I love you too.”

Instead of trying to ignore her surroundings, Jenny decided to accept them. She didn’t open her eyes, but she acknowledged that she was very high up. She also acknowledged that she was with Ed and most of her friends. Once she stopped putting effort into actively ignoring everything, she was finally able to fully relax. She leaned back against Ed.

He smiled wider. This was perfect. The view was good, but Jenny…she was what made it great.

Harold liked the view. He also liked the dog. He stayed near the dog, while also next to a window. It was cool. He saw something like this in many dreams before, so he wasn't as impressed as everyone else, but was still in awe.

The dog started barking angrily, and this time the woman egged it on. “That’s right, my sweet. It’s time.”

The dog grew, bursting from its cage. It grew horns, its body forming into that of a lion, and its tail elongating into a snake. It growled, a deep, dangerous growl.

Terrance cursed and took out his weapon, immediately attacking the "dog."

It spun at him, roaring. It jumped, trying to bite him.

Elsie started crying.

Terrance stabbed forward, attempting to pierce its head.

It batted his attack away with its horns.

Edgar stumbled to his feet, moving in front of Jenny. “Monster,” he hissed.

Elsie froze, tears streaming down her face. "But why? You were such a a cute puppy. I was going to pet you. Don't kill me." She said, starting to ramble as she panicked. She started backing up, still letting out occasional sobs.

The monster slid out of the way, but received a nasty gash in its side.

Edgar jumped in its way before it could get to Elsie, Gift forming a shield. The snake part bit at Terrance.

Up to you if it hits.

Elsie, panicking, started searching in her bag for something that could help. She pulled out some of the pebbles she had found all over that she had liked, and started chucking them at the monster.

"Don't hurt my friend!" She screeched.

It ignored the pebbles, biting at her and Edgar. Edgar deflected the head with his shield, but was thrown back from the impact.

"NO! My other new friend. Stop!" She yelled, starting to actually get mad. She completely vanished from view.

It can't smell her either.

It still ignored her, running towards Edgar, its claw raking along his leg. He screamed, barely keeping its jaws from biting him in half.
