Kobold King he/him Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 I am currently writing the first post for Calamityville, so it'll be ready to post come October 1st. I am also re-listening to Nightmare Night twenty times a day in preparation. 3

Edgedancer he/him Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 Guys I just realized something awesome, if we keep this completely non-canon, than we can kill Nighthound in an exceedingly painful way. 2

Tulir he/him Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 I was thinking, and would it be acceptable for everyone if Facade has resurrection into one of his copies that is copying himself?
Kobold King he/him Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 I was thinking, and would it be acceptable for everyone if Facade has resurrection into one of his copies that is copying himself? That is acceptable to Mine Sight, and is hereby deemed "Awesomesauce." I found character icons for Möbius and Slaughterhouse: For Slaughterhouse I was originally going for one of the anatomical pictures of a skull with the muscles attached, but the only usable ones I could find for a little too creepy for forum policy. 3

Voidus Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 Karma Karma: Can punish anyone who has wronged him, anyone who lies to him, steals from him or attacks him can be targeted. Punishments include: Revenge (Can reflect attacks back at his attacker), Famine (Target becomes uncontrollably hungry, glutting themselves on food until death), Pestilence (Target contracts some form of disease, generally something like the black plague), Curse (Target becomes incredibly unlucky)His punishments are relative to the severity of the crime of his target. Mrs. Voidus' Haloween Epic, though I feel like someone already has an Epic named Karma but I don't know who :/ 2

And to be fair, her Epic has a better claim to the name than mine.
Voidus Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 That's alright, I'll change it to Judgement or something like that once I flesh him out a bit more and Mrs. Voidus makes him a pony (She's loving the pony creator right now)
Kobold King he/him Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 Augh. I've been trying to get the first post of "What Happened in Calamityville" written, but I've continuously run into difficulties. First difficulty: exhaustion. My mind is like soup right now. When I put two words on a page, those two words inevitably crash together and create a dull, rambling, and pointless piece of prose. I've been having this soup-mind syndrome for the past couple of days; it's what's responsible for the lousy Backtrack post in The Dalles, and it's made the 2, 000+ words I've written so far a complete disaster. My original plan was to kick things off with a very long post that was to introduce both my characters and fully detail the events that lead into the story. Due to soup-mind, that idea sort of crashed. But I have a Plan B. Plan B: the RP begins with Calamityville at midnight, the city plunged into chaos. Slaughterhouse pulls himself from the ruins of Möbius' palace and comes across the other characters. The build-up to this can be explained a little more slowly as Slaughterhouse has to convince the assembled creeps to work together. Not only does this prevent me from bogging us down with an enormous lackluster opening, it fits our theme. A dark and stormy night is way more fitting than once upon a time in the magical land of Calamityville... Thoughts? 2

Getting started is more important than a Möbius post and if you´re tired you can´t really help it.
Kobold King he/him Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 Sounds good to me, though I was looking forward to a mobius post. There will be a Möbius post, just not right off the bat. I intend to get to bed early tonight, and I might have some pleasant siesta time later today to recharge my... what do you call it? My brain.

Getting started is what matters, and driving yourself to exhaustion isn't a good thing.
TheSilverDragon he/him Posted October 2, 2014 Posted October 2, 2014 This looks like fun. Can I join??? Here is my epic. His Epic Name(pun intended) : Ghost King Primary: He can go incorporeal. When in this state anyone he come into contact with dies of extreme cold. Secondary: If he touches/passes through a dead body, it turns incorporeal and gains his deathly touch. Passive: Radiates extreme cold Weakness: Just keep on guessing. Who do we PM the weaknesses to? 2

So, who will we have going next? I don't think it quite matters yet--the basic idea is that a lot of terrible Epics have been suddenly pulled out of their respective timestreams and dropped into Calamityville. I think that anyone could write up a post detailing their character's confusion, and can either go straight to tormenting random citizens or can stumble across Slaughterhouse. EDIT: By the way, I'd like to thank TwiLyght for copy-editing the first Calamityville post. She prevented it from becoming completely unintelligible. Edited October 2, 2014 by Kobold King 1
Voidus Posted October 2, 2014 Posted October 2, 2014 Are we doing character intro's outside of Calamityville then having them pulled there, or just starting off confused and just arrived in town?
Kobold King he/him Posted October 2, 2014 Posted October 2, 2014 Are we doing character intro's outside of Calamityville then having them pulled there, or just starting off confused and just arrived in town? You can do either, I s'pose. Whatever you feel would be coolest to write.
Voidus Posted October 2, 2014 Posted October 2, 2014 Simon post up, be warned, he is one creepy and sadistic Epic, Nightmares may follow.
