TheSilverDragon he/him Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 Have you ever read a book (not one of Brandon's) and thought, "Why can't they just use alloymancing?" When Frodo gets his finger cut off--Power of Regrowth When Harry and Voldamort face off--Why can't Harry be a Atium misting?? Any More???
Kobold King he/him Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 When any character gets shot at and you wonder why he doesn't Steelpush the bullets away.
Voidus Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 One does not simply Steelpush into Mordor. 9
BreathTaker he/him Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 One does not simply Steelpush into Mordor. Why not? It would be almost as easy as taking the Eagles to Mordor.
Pathfinder Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 Why not? It would be almost as easy as taking the Eagles to Mordor. steel compounding even easier/faster. :::Grabs ring, blurs for a second, suddenly back:::: all done, cue ending.
BreathTaker he/him Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 Hahahaha, win. I feel like this with Games more than books because i only read Sanderson lately. In Skyrim I always wish I had Shardblade and Plate plus Windrunner powers.
Pathfinder Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 Horror movies would all end remarkably different
BreathTaker he/him Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 Hahaha, If you think about it, Elantris could easily be made in to a Horror Movie. It's got some terrifying stuff in it.
Dellexe he/him Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 Not another book, but when I'm 60 hours into a Mount and Blade game and my character is so OP he can kill whole groups of enemies with each swing and can sit in the middle of an enemy army while taking no damage I think, "I have reached Shardbearer status!" 2
BreathTaker he/him Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 Not another book, but when I'm 60 hours into a Mount and Blade game and my character is so OP he can kill whole groups of enemies with each swing and can sit in the middle of an enemy army while taking no damage I think, "I have reached Shardbearer status!" This. Level 40 Nord with 98 Heavy Armor and 90-ish Two Handed. I jump off of high cliffs and start laying waste like I'm Dalinar, feeling the Thrill as hits bounce off and my enemy's life is sucked from his body. 3
18th Shard he/him Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 That character that lies dying, making a big traumatic scene for the protagonist=> Regrowth, BAM! they're fine 3
Shardcellist Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 Horror movies would all end remarkably different Any movie is a horror movie with a Rioter in the house. 3
Kobold King he/him Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 Any movie is a horror movie with a Rioter in the house. And any movie is a feel-good comedy with a Soother in the house.
Fatebreaker he/him Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 Any movie is a good movie with an Inquisitor in the house. 7
Pathfinder Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 I just realized something, pin head from hell raiser would flee from an allomancer! muahahahaha 1
Shaggai Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 Why not? It would be almost as easy as taking the Eagles to Mordor. Vastly easier actually, since the Eagles are a. generally neutral for most of the book, and b. not a taxi service. And you can't really force them to fly you there if they don't want to. Unless you've got Feruchemical iron or have some other magic system that prevents you from dying when you fall from the height at which giant eagles fly.
Voidus Posted September 13, 2014 Posted September 13, 2014 (edited) I used to be an adventurer like you, then I took a Shardblade in the knee. Edited September 13, 2014 by Voidus 2
Newan he/him Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 Whenever I watch The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug, I imagine Legolas and Tauriel are both using atium. It makes it a lot more believable. Seriously, watch any fight scene with the elves in it, imagine atium, and it instantly becomes a lot more awesome. 1
mail-mi he/him Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 Hunger Games--Katniss burns Atium. And wins.
Pathfinder Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 Hunger Games--Katniss burns Atium. And wins. Compounds gold and wins no matter what 1
mail-mi he/him Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 Compounds gold and wins no matter what Fullborn. Need I say more?
Dellexe he/him Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 Fullborn. Need I say more? I personally like the term Ferumancer. - Fae glamours in the Mercy Thompson novels = Lightweaving
Paragrin she/her Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 I'm fairly sure Flanagan's Rangers are some variety of Surgebinders, and their horses are their spren. 1
