Out of the ice stairs start to appear as the fire shaves it away. He chirps and pushes his cold nose against her face trying to wake her, chirping violently.

Everything in him screamed to go take the ship for himself, get back to Aria, get back to the people of the districts and lead the rebellion, but no. He needed to let Junior have it, because without Junior, he would be dead. He instead looks around, weren’t there four people here before? He sees something spark and go up in flames for a second and then disappear he tries to find it.

If Lady Luck isn't on your side, the only solution is to lead yourself into a massacre... And win. It wasn't a matter of odds. They were never in his favor. It wasn't a matter of chance. He never would be given any. It was a matter of risk. It was a mater of skillfully wielding possibility. It was a matter of walking through any open doors, and closing them behind you.
