Let's say you split a metal spike you plan to use to perform Hemalurgy with into two or more pieces, cutting them in such a way that they easily fit back into their original shape. You then charge each piece individually with a different Allomancer or Feruchemist. Then, you fit the spikes into the same spot on the Hemalurgist's body.

So, do they get extra power but with only the consequences of bearing one spike, as only one Bindpoint is being cracked open? Or do you think that the Flaw more about the number of spikes period?

Most likely Identity contamination means one spike has an effect, the other three (or more) are wasted and do nothing. Not only will the differing identities cause conflict, but current known information indicates that only one identity would have access through a single bind point. No, the heart has at least four bind points, if your multi-spike were somehow able to pierce all four you might be able to make that work, but it would lamost assuredly count as four spikes, even if only one shows from outside of the body.

Most likely true, all things considered.

Mostly this was a throw away idea that randomly came to me earlier today, but I figured it would be better to post it anyway. Don't worry though, tomorrow I'll have a much better idea for you guys to rip apart .

If you need an idea to pursue, here's a thought experiment:

Spoiler
  • If the lichen is the key to White Sand - and
  • Lichen can grow on metals
  • Can metallic filaments coated in invested lichen be used both for the metallic arts and controlled with a luhel bond?

I don't think you can fit two spikes in the same binding point. It's a point, it can only fit one spike.
