I can't smell at all and all I can tell is the difference between like sweet and sour, spicy. Stuff like that.

They definitely taste different. But if you eat them all at the same time it just blends together and tastes like sugar.

There is a reason I would find all of the yellow sour skittles and eat them all at once, as well as avoiding all of the purple ones. They do taste different!

Smarties are so much better. (Canadian ones, not the weird American ones that are just rockets in disguise)

Canadian smarties are candy coated chocolates like m&ms except better

vs these American smarties which just make me think of 

  these

And honestly, all of the above are superior to skittles

Also, apologies if I came off as hostile towards American smarties. I'm sure they're fine, just not what I recognize as smarties.
