Christmas Countdown to Save the World

On Earth, 'twas 48 days before Christmas morn,

A new disaster struck each day, woes were born.

From black to dark gray, all colors did sway,

Gotham's hero in crisis, in shadows he'd stay.

 

Outfits in ruin, designers perplexed,

Computer programs halted, leaving us vexed.

Video game mechanics, a chaotic ballet,

'Tis up to you, dear folks, to light our way.

 

Anything goes, except (maybe) god modding. Basically, we're all trying to survive in the last days before Christmas, and every day a new crisis will surface. I'll be posting a new one of those daily. 

 

Red wakes up and finds his previously perfectly color-coded closet is a mess. At first, he ignores this, but as he gets ready for another day he can't ignore it. The normally black early morning sky is the wrong color. Something is very, very wrong.

Elan walks out of his house, wearing a now dark grey shirt. The sun hasn’t risen yet, but something is off. The sky isn’t the right color. It isn’t the normal black. Instead it’s… off. Too bright for what time it was. What is going on? He thinks.

Elan listens to the radio and hears about an obese caterpillar. Interested, he googles where he can find it. Unfortunately the satellites are having trouble working, because their solar panels aren’t working as well (they’re grey), so Elan has to go see the above view of the city the hard way:

“I WILL FIND THE CATERPILLAR!!!” He yells.

Red launches him, and watches as he flies off into the distance. Then, he proceeds to launch himself.

Elan flies high, and spots the caterpillar. He pulls out his hydrogen balloon and blowtorch, and proceeds to blow up the balloon, quickly doing the complex math to calculate where to blow it up so that his trajectory lands him right next to the obese caterpillar.

“Hi!” He says to the obese caterpillar.
