Calliope slowly walked down the cold, hard, stones of the prison.

She slowly undid her loose mid-bun and twirled her hair, amused.

Every time her heel clicked on the damp floor, it echoed.

Drip.

Drip.

Drip.

Drip.

Saffron sighed, then slumped down beneath the window to avoid being seen.

Calliope paced slowly back and forth down the halls, right near Saffron and Elsie's prison cell. She smiled and kept her eyes on the floor, knowing they could hear her.

"It's funny, isn't it?" She said to herself, "A lifetime."

She spat and started to throw and catch her dice with her left hand.

Saffron groaned in reply.

"Calliope." He muttered. "I'm going to kill you."

If you don't kill me first.

He looks over at her. There were tears in his eyes. “You don’t know how much I love you…”

Siylna put a hand on his shoulder. "It's me and you, okay? It's me and you, and we really are on top of the world."

Do you want me to head over now? Or I could pass by her on her way out in a bit?

"Yes," she said decisively, "I find it hilarious."

I was planning on having Callie stay here until you arrive. It's okay, it could be a while. Callie is perfectly content :D

"Calliope!" Saffron shouted, "Tell me, what did you do to Elan? Or Herman?"

I'm going to pretend that Ryn told Saffron about the events transpiring around the GMHQ.

"Hmmm," Callie muttered, "Something this generation has lost is a sense of respect, really," She continued, talking to herself.

Elsie remains silent, unsure who Calliope is.

Elsie never interacted with Calliope, but I think it's safe to assume you'd know her voice from all the announcements in the arena :P

"At least my generation isn't busy throwing tantrums over people knowing too much." Saffron mused, "But you gamemakers are all insane."

Calliope ignored him and continued slowly walking back and forth through the halls of the prison.

"Yes, it would do them all a lot of good if they learned a sense of independency. They wouldn't end up here, at least. Though I suppose that's much less fun for us," Callie's smile gleamed through the dark.

"A degree of independence? Look. Calliope," Saffron stood up, locking his steel gaze on the gamemaker, "I don't care what you do. But if you kill me, I will return. And I have your secrets."

"That's the other thing about a lifetime," Callie mused, "It only happens once. When it's over, that's all for the mortal realm. There's no testing fate. No pushing the limits. No congratulations or grand finalé. Nothing luxurious once you're in the face of death. I've been there before. Death's face is... beautiful. Beautiful but cruel. The world is much less merciful."

Callie sighed.

"Perhaps it’s time to stop trusting others."

She slowly nodded to herself.

"Perhaps it’s time to stop trusting yourself."

"Calliope, have you ever heard the story of the Survivor of Death?"

Somone sat in the back of the prison in a cell. Very interesting, this conversation was. He remembered his training. Everything that had led up until this point. He was stupid to try and overthrow the games.

Game makers can veto this if you want to.

"We all come from rising ashes. We all return, one day. Once our lifeline spins out of thread. Or... someone cuts it short," Callie laughed a little as she pulled out a knife, "Until someone slices through our lifeline so easily. It's numbing, I hear."

Saffron backs, up then says, "Quite the twisted philosophy there."

He waited for the Bug on Calliope that Ryn told him about to start working.

Siylna gives Victor one last hug. "Heal, and be safe, my love. I need to go run our games...I'll be back when I can though."

Then she turns, and starts walking down to the dungeon.

Would Azelea be bugged? Because the detectives might be interested in what she’s up to…
