Alumínio
Ishar is a limitless bondsmith, so he manipulates any and all connections at will. Is there any possible scenario where Kelsier argues with Ishar? I wanted to know if he could solve our dear Thaidakar's problem or if this goes beyond his powers And thinking about it I have a question, can honorblades come out of roshar? If so, wouldn't it be likely that Ishar's blade was Mraze's goal the entire time? Following this reasoning, Ishar himself could leave the system

Is there any possible scenario where Kelsier argues with Ishar? I wanted to know if he could solve our dear Thaidakar's problem or if this goes beyond his powers Well, Thaidakar has an "avatar" on Roshar, if he wants, they can talk. But Thaidakar partially achieved what he wanted. But yes, Ishar would probably be able to fully solve Thaidakar's problem. Spoiler Questioner With regards to certain experiments, would it be fair to say Ishar and a certain Scadrian have similar goals? Brandon Sanderson *hesitation noises* I don't know that I would say that 100%. The certain Scadrian you reference has been able to achieve the goals that he wants. Let's see if I can circumlocute this: there's a certain set of bones floating around that already has a Connection to this individual, which was useful in achieving what he wanted to do, which is not a luxury that Ishar has. JordanCon 2021 (July 17, 2021) Spoiler FeatherWriter I have to ask about using the word "avatar" for Thaidakar sending avatars... does Kelsier actually have anything resembling a real avatar or is he just using the word and lying through his teeth? Brandon Sanderson Oh yeah, he's mostly lying through his teeth. Basically — this is not canon, because I might come up with a better [idea] - but in my head, I have him with a large cloak with a Seon on top indicating his face [hosts laugh] It was something along those lines. He wants them to think that he is capable of getting to Roshar in a meaningful, physical way. Spoiler! he can't get off Scadrial, and it's really annoying to him. At least by this point in the continuity, in fact a little past it, because the Wax & Wayne books... *multiple people* [Tangent where he forgets where in the timeline Wax & Wayne actually falls, and Chaos corrects him. Answer ends up being that it takes place after Stormlight 5, as he has usually said.] Brandon Sanderson As of the Alloy era, he is still unable to get off of Scadrial. Chaos Guess we'll learn about that in Era 3, if it's all Kelsier stuff. Brandon Sanderson Era 3 will definitely involve some Kelsier stuff. Let's just say he's perturbed. Shardcast Interview (Jan. 23, 2021) 1 hour ago, Alumínio said: And thinking about it I have a question, can honorblades come out of roshar? It might be possible, it depends how much they are invested, and how much are they comparable to spren. If they are like spren, then they can't leave. Honorblades are self-aware so they might be closer to spren, but who knows. Spoiler uchoo786 I was wondering, if one were to take an Honorblade to Nalthis (I think that's the Warbreaker planet?), would it function like a minor version of Nightblood? And could one fuel one of these Shards with other forms of Investiture, not gas-based like Breath and Stormlight, e.g. burning metals? Brandon Sanderson Shardblades will not lose or change functionality when taken off of Roshar. /r/books AMA 2015 (May 23, 2015) Spoiler Questioner Can a higher spren leave Roshar? Brandon Sanderson They do not know how to right now. JordanCon 2018 (April 21, 2018) Spoiler Fluffy (paraphrased) When the Five Scholars traveled to Roshar, this happened post Recreance, so most Shardblades would have been dead, how did Nightblood gain sapience? Brandon Sanderson (paraphrased) Shardblades weren’t the only Blades around that were active, there were Honorblades. Honorblades are self-aware, but do not manifest a spren in the Cognitive Realm. Dragonsteel 2022 (Nov. 15, 2022) 1 hour ago, Alumínio said: If so, wouldn't it be likely that Ishar's blade was Mraze's goal the entire time? BAM is already nicely packed in a gemstone, left alone somewhere on Roshar, while Ishar's honorblade is in hands of crazy Ishar leading the entire nation of Tukar - I would prefer to get a present rather than fight with unbound Bondsmith and his army of fanatics. 1 hour ago, Alumínio said: Following this reasoning, Ishar himself could leave the system No. He can't: Spoiler Questioner Have we seen cameos of Heralds on other Shardworlds? Brandon Sanderson The Heralds are tied to the system by the magic that permeates them. They could not leave. Questioner I thought I saw someone but I guess not. Brandon Sanderson It’s part of the magic. Some would call them Cognitive Shadows, right? Whether they are or not. "Cognitive Shadow" is a very ambiguous term in the cosmere. It means, basically your soul-- It's the same thing with petrification, right? Investiture replaced your soul, and permeated your soul, and your soul continues to exist, but... you are usually Invested with something, that's tied, and you're basically like pure Investiture then. You're tied to the thing you're Connected to. Most of the things that you're gonna see with that, travelling is going to be very difficult, unless you know how to do it. You have seen people do it. Questioner Who? Brandon Sanderson Vasher Brandon Sanderson Vasher... You have seen people do it. But anyone who's got-- yeah.
