"ooookkkk lets go before i get insulted anymore." he pulls out a dingy looking jacket. "Put this on, please. it'll help you blend in. the humming works as well, thankfully, but can you just make it sound like nonsense? if you can't do that, maybe just do like some old nursery rhymes or something."

Pic puts on the jacket and begins humming without words. He hums an overly simplistic melody as he follows Jar Man.

"Perfect." He walks off into a dark street corner, waiting for someone to pass by.

The two waited a while, Pic humming the whole time, before one person passed by an intersection away.

Pic sighs. “Alright,” he hums, and walks through the town.

He doesn’t really run across many people, as he sticks to the more commonly trodden and semi lit areas of town.

Jar man and pic are looking to sell “things” to people who may be in shady corners of the village. Pic ain’t doing too good of a job staying near the shady parts.

Strangely enough, there don’t seem to be any “shady” parts of the village. In fact, after the tavern, things only seem to get nicer.

Jar Man mutters something about towns being annoyingly cute.

"It would be risky," the narrator said, "but possible. If he were to go to a larger city, he might have a better chance of selling." She leaned in the shadows against one of the buildings.

"Alas, the town was quiet," the narrator answered. "Even if he did encounter anyone, they likely would not take anything from a sketchy stranger such as this."

@The Bookwyrm (pg 392)

It was a few hours of walking before they reached the forest.

After that, Bookwyrm found a small clearing surrounded by the towering evergreens, which shielded the area from the wind. He shivered in the cold, despite the shelter.

"This looks as good a spot to rest as any," he said, studying the area in the grey light that filtered through the canopy.

Insa

Insa frowned and took off the cloak and handed it back to Bookwyrm. "This is yours. You should be the one using it."

Bookwyrm eyed the cloak, then Insa. "You can wear it for a little longer...I'm going to make a fire, and then we won't need it."

He scanned the ground for any sticks he could use, then started gathering them.

Insa sighed and draped the cloak over her arm. She quickly gathered some sticks and then grabbed the ones Bookwyrm had. She made a rather crude like on the ground and summoned a small spark which hit the pile and set it on fire.

"There. Fire." She held out the cloak to him again.
