Addison wandered through the clinic. She wasn’t sure where she was going, but she didn’t see anyone. That was good, no one to hurt. She’d make sure she never hurt anyone again.

He let out a quiet sigh. “I want to live. Maybe it’s selfish, but I don’t want to spend the rest of my life in here, unsure when it’ll break through or how many people it’s killing while I’m hiding. I did that before and it…it was a mistake.”

Addison closed her eyes, still just wandering through the Clinic. Things were better when she couldn’t see. She could be standing at the edge of a cliff…right on the brink. She took another step and was disappointed. There was no cliff. She took another step, hoping for a cliff again.
