“Another time,” Tal agreed. “So…I’ve met Addison, barely, and Roy, and Trevor. What about you, Jinx? Anything we should know about you?” He smiled kindly. In his mind, a voice said, you can use it to destroy them later…find their weakness now so that you can hit them where it hurts…

Pic walked over to the group. The first thing that they noticed about him was his hawkish features. The second thing that everyone noticed, is that he was humming constantly. Everything that he did, from stepping to speaking, was in beat with his melody. 

"Hello! It is nice to see you two again," he hummed as he nodded to Tal and Roy. He turned to the other two and held out his hands in a half bow. "My name is Pic, and this is Aventine and Jar Man. Mind if we join you for lunch?"

Pic winced a little bit, and the beat stopped for a second. A few glowing lights around Aventine’s ankles flickered, and she stumbled just a little bit. Jar Man stabilized her. 
 

One the best was recovered, Pic smiled and nodded once at Addison and waved the other two over.

A knock sounds on the door of the clinic. It repeats, 3 times, with a pause, and then repeats again. It is a sequence.

Pic gripped her hand when she said this and gave it a quick squeeze, tightening and releasing in time with the marching beat he was humming.
