“Yeah, I was wondering the same thing, Nandok,” Haldor said.

“Well, it has come to my attention that there is something hidden in Urithiru. I am unsure exactly what it is, but I fear it would be very dangerous if left to its own devices.” Nandok pauses. “Of course, nothing is likely to happen in the near future, so it is not urgent. We can wait until tomorrow to do anything about this threat.”

I know that Justice_Magician isn’t active on Sundays, so I’ll wait until tomorrow until we really start start. And I have plans for before we start investigating.

The next morning, as everyone wakes up, their mornings begin as normal. It isn’t until they leave their rooms that somebody tells them, or they see written down, the news.

Somebody has disappeared.

This somebody in question is a Lighteyes of the 9th Dahn, who was a potter. Her name was Adila, 38 years old, and she was last seen leaving her shop for the day, but going in the opposite direction to herself. Everyone assumed that she was going to buy something from the Breakaway—outside of the Ten Rings—as that was the direction she was going. But she was never seen again.

Lasina wakes early, very concerned. She rushes to Nandok’s room. “We’re going to save her, right?”

“Ah… the law has been broken” thought Fyre. “There must be justice”

“I certainly hope so. If this is related to my suspicions, which it likely is, then this gives us a lead on where to look. And it shows that the situation is more dire than I expected. We’ll give everyone an hour to arrive, and then we’ll investigate.

Ruio woke up real early, sure. It was a fine day to be Ruio, and there was no time for sleeping when you were Ruio! He figured it was time for a little visit to Nandok's room to see what the gancho was planning, with that mystery he was babbling on about. So he walked on over.

I'm still working on writing like a Herdazian, so forgive me-it isn't perfect!

“Hello!” Nandok said. “Here because of the ad, I assume?”

Merinn read the poster absentmindedly while he waited. There was a buzz in the hallways today, or maybe Urithiru was always this busy, he wouldn't know.

Finally, Ali'i burst out of the wall at his feet. The small spren took the shape of a small man made of rock.

"This way's clear of guards," he announced, "Let's go!"

"O- okay . . . um . . ." Merinn mumbled, starting down the hallway.

"Yeah?" Ali'i asked as he skipped along, invisible to human eyes.

"You still haven't told me why you wanted me to come to the most human ridden place on the planet," Merrin said.

"Ooooh yeah!" he stopped in the hall, and began bouncing in excitement, "We're here to make friends!"

"May I remind you, Ali'i, that everyone here wants to kill me?" Merrin nervously adjusted the wooden mask and cloak he was wearing to hide his singer features. He had only snuck through security thus far with pure luck, and those weird rock powers he had now. What would they do with him if he was caught?

What if they thought he was a spy for the Fused? They would never believe that a tiny man made of rocks had convinced him to come here.

"That's not true! I heard some people talking about a listener who's friends with the Kholins themselves!" The small spren declared, he began skipping down the hall again.

"I- I'm sure that there are specific circumstances that wouldn't apply in my case . . . or it's just a rumor, we have no way to be certain!" Then, a terrifying thought occurred to him.

"Your not taking me to the Kholins are you?!"

Ali'i shook his head. "Nah, they're way out of your league, I'm just going to the address on that one poster."

"But we have no idea who lives there! It could be a human!"

"Of course it'll be a human! that's why we're here! Those fused guys you work for aren't very good friends, so we're looking else where." Ali'i stopped skipping and settled in front of a door.

"This is it?" Merinn asked, eyeing the door.

"Yup, now knock."

"I don't suppose we could just call it a day and go home now?"

"We didn't just break into the most secure human base in the world for you to back down now Merinn." Ali'i appeared on his shoulder.

The singer sighed, this was ridiculous, utterly ridiculous.

He knocked on the door.

Nandok opened the door, and almost jumped in surprise to see a figure wearing a wooden mask. “Hello!” they said. “I love the mask.” then, whispered, “Are you…Southern Scadrian?”

Merinn panicked. What was Scadrain? It was probably better then a signer right?

"Uh . . . yes."

"I- uh . . . saw the poster . . . so."

“No, Scadrial is a part of Shinovar where a lot of people wear masks. I’m from near there, and I was excited to meet another Shin.”

"Where are we going?"

“There was a disappearance. A woman was likely kidnapped last night, and has not been seen since. She was last seen at the Breakaway, and we are going to see what has happened. I suspect that this is related to what I put out he poster about.”
