1 Dunkum
regardless of whether this could work in theory, in practice you would need something like a planet mass worth of chromium, and/or duralumin. it is simply not practical.

What would happen to the investiture? No. Perpendicularity is not a Shard directly; it's separate from it to some degree. Moreover there is so much investiture in a perpendicularity, that a Mistborn would need a crap ton of chromium, even with duralumin, to actually burn it all away. The result would only be a destruction of a perpendicularity. The investiture you leeched would simply return back to its Shard. Spoiler Questioner If you were a Leecher, could you destroy a Shardblade? Brandon Sanderson I'm going to RAFO that for now, let's just say that it would be incredibly difficult if it were possible, and I'm not going to even say if it is. But that kind of power... Questioner Let's just say they were burning duralumin as well. Brandon Sanderson Let's just say that the Investiture in a Shardblade is much greater than your average Allomancer, but... This type of thing is not unheard of in the Cosmere. The larkin, the Leechers, and Nightblood all have a similar sort of thing going on. Destroying a Shardblade would be really hard. And Investiture resists other forms of Investiture, so. Calamity Austin signing (Feb. 25, 2016)

I don't think that Allomantic chromium works that way- it sends the Investiture back to the Spiritual Realm, but on a Shard, no matter how much Investiture you managed to use to Leech them, it would just cycle back to their pool of power. Now, if you somehow got a giant mass of silver (probably with lots of Soulcasting) and stabbed it into the Vessel of the Shard I think you could kill them, as silver can potentially destroy Spren. . . Quote YouTube Spoiler Stream 4 - Arcanum (coppermind.net) Ace Heat Would it be possible to use an aluminum spike to permanently kill a spren? Brandon Sanderson No, that's not gonna work. Silver, on the other hand, there's some possibility.

Well isn’t this basically what happened when szeth put nightblood into dalinar’s/ishar’s perpendicularity and it just closed the perpendicularity but didn’t destroy it. Also I think that it’s similar to what happened when vin gave ruin the well of ascension
