Rolen makes an illusion of darkness around Kaa’s head, then attacks with both blades, one (a dagger), thrown, the other swinging at Kaa’s blinded head.

Edit: the dagger is going towards the heart.

No worries, but unless you’re back soon I’ll be at soccer until just after 8:30. Just letting you know.

Kaa spun summoning his honorblade and leaping quickly out of the way. He used the leverage form Rolens swing to touch him on the forehead. Then he drew back warily.

Honorblades take ten heartbeats to summon, as does Rolen’s dead sharblade. Living spren don’t though.

Ok, just making sure you guys have actually read stormlight.

You’re all good, I had the same reaction to his summoning at first. I’ve definitely read Stormlight, it’s my favorite series.

Javek forms a shield to block the dart. However it’s only partly successful, as the dart slides off and hits Ninddles arm. “Look out” he cries. Cursing, Ninddle inhales stormlight and starts looking for a pair of eyes that would mark the invisible persons presence while trying to heal his arm.

He sees many pairs of eyes, quite faint, all around him. After the dart disappears from Ninddle’s body, a Sharddagger coalesces halfway in between two of them, which goes to stab Ninddle’s legs.

okay im back

Amyra escaped through the chasms, her body racing to catch up with her even faster mind.

Her thoughts were so mixed.

No true answers.

She just kept running through the labyrinth.

Her arm was still in pain.

She had no idea where she was going.

Or how long she was going to survive.

All she knew was she had to fight till the end.

Her breath refused to fill her lungs.

I still trust you, a voice said in her mind.

A forgotten voice.

A small voice.

But such an important voice.

Aerie- Amyra stopped in her tracks.

Been a while, hasn't it? The voice seemed as if it was said through a sad smile.

Yeah...

You've killed two people.

I have.

Congrats.

Thanks.

There was a pause. She had missed Aerie's comforting sarcasm.

I still believe in you, you know, Aerie said, trying to put in an effort.

I... Thanks.

Amyra, I need you to live.

No promises.

She took in a sharp breath, waiting for the response.

... No promises. Aerie agreed.

Ninddle, more prepared than before blocks. Then he turned begins sliding away as fast as possible towards the edge of the plateau, and leaps toward the other side.

Sage decided to end Amyra. She was too dangerous to be kept alive. He raised his sword and swung at her head.

Yeah, sure, you can react. I just did that to show that I wasn't just going to let you go. Sorry for being confusing.

Amyra heard footsteps of someone approaching behind her.

Of course. They were still after her.

She spun around and summoned Aerie as her shardblade.

She was wielding the blade in her left hand... A weakness, perhaps.

But she held it up confidently, with a steady arm.

"Sage," she spoke harshly, "Stand down. Everything may not be as it seems."

She was on guard and defensive, staring into Sage's eyes.

She had to be ready for any move.

Any trick.

A light, very slow, breathing comes from deep in a cave.

drip. drip. drip.

The water drips from the ceiling down into the puddle.

At the very back, covered and sand and mud, a pair of eyes glow. Completely invisible to nearly anyone. He keeps his breathing shallow and quiet so as to not attract the gamemakers.

Nobody bests a Bonswear.

Sage stopped walking. "Why did you kill Cassy?" He asked. "Yes, the gamemakers put us in here, but that's not his fault! You can't condemn a child because of their parent's actions."

Red reappeared beside him, back from his long absence. He silently laid a comforting hand on his shoulder.

Amyra looked as if she was about to speak, then bit back her tongue, thinking better of it.

"I..."

She had to mislead them.

That was the only way.

Even if she was killed for it.

"I did what was needed to be done," She said, quietly, "And I have no regrets."

Perhaps lying was the only true way of protection.

But then again, what she said wasn't really a lie, now, was it?

She had done what she need to be done.

But they just.... Didn't understand.

So be it.

People could be so narrow-minded.

But this...

This was someone she could save.

So she pressed forwards, misleading them all.

"It wasn't the child's fault," Amyra added, agreeing with Sage.
