I also really want to see nightvlood’s role.

Actual stakes.

I want the middle 3/5 of the book to just be a total bloodbath on the Radiants side.

People I want to die: Shallan, Adolin, Syl, Pattern, Navani, and possibly Kaladin unless he's the Champion or ascends to Honor or something.

That would definitely make the contest actually feel like something Dalinar could lose

I’m sorry, WHAT?

There is no way Brandon is going to kill any of those characters, except maybe Syl. I don't think he's going to pull another Mistborn.

That's the problem, I want it to happen, but I know it won't.

Honestly it's ruining SA for me, more people need to die.

Sure, just forget that time he killed literally 12 people in the span of three pages in Oathbringer.

Can you name them without looking at the book?

That's how little they mattered.

If the character isn't a PoV character their death doesn't mean much.

Yeah, one death.

One.

After the Tower fell which should have been the single most devastating loss to the Radiant forces.

Odium's performance was so underwhelming that he stopped being a threat, which was why Brandon replaced him.

True, I understand your point, but I don't agree. Brandon kills his main characters either to finish their character arc, or for their deaths to be meaningful, to have real emotional impact on others. He doesn't do bloodbaths just to shock his audience, that's not his style. For me it works. The OB palace scene is one of my favorites precisely because of how impactful it was to Kaladin. While yes, the stakes are so high that it's hard to believe every main and most secondary characters came out of it just fine compared to Fused dying left and right. Thankfully for me this doesn't really matter to me, but I admit, I wish more people, like Teft or Elhokar or even main PoVs, died in books - a certain Book of the Fallen did this to me.

I'm quite sure someone major will die in KoWT. It's too big not to, it's the end of the era and the stakes are too high.

I agree. Someone will die, but I’d say no more than three or four important characters. Personally, I think one of Shallan’s crew will die, like Gaz.

For me it is not impactful enough for Shallan. One of Shallan's brothers on the other hand...

Huh. Hadn’t thought of that. But she’s already lost one of them, and her parents, so I don’t think we’re going to see any Davars die.

Logically, she messed with Ghostbloods, there have to be some consequences. They saved her brothers from a war torn country and delivered them as a wedding gift. Mraize made several elaborate threats to Shallan, and while Hoid managed to get her family out of the Tower, for Mraize it will be a very exciting hunt. Their death would impact Shallan significantly. But we will see. To be fair I just thought about it, it's not that I want the to die.

I'm excited to see more Lift and Wyndle conversations, El, Rysn, Hoid trying to find out what's going on with TOdium, Kaladin after the 4th ideal, Shallan vs. The Ghostbloods, and,  (I hope) Dalinar becoming a fused.

Also, more Adolin, more Adolin, more Adolin, and more Adolin.

I guess whatever's going on with Venli and the listeners, because they're the only ones I have zero idea of what they're actually going to be doing in book 5, it's hard to tell how much they're even going to be involved in the story since their whole deal is leaving the central conflict of the series.

I just really wanna see more of the singers in general, we got plenty of insight on the Fused in book 4 but I feel like there's still a lot left unexplored on the various singer perspectives within the story.

What the hell exactly is a Truthless. And yeah knowing what the recurrence is about would be cool.

Actually I think the most puzzling mystery to me in the entire series is how they'd let Szeth carry an honorblade. He's this awful untrustworthy dude, he slurps his soup and puts his elbows on the table...... yet they let him take an Honorblade? Which is not only a shardblade but gives them access to surges and is one of eight in the Shin's possession?? Insane.
