The man with shadowed eyes frowns. His soul-sucking ghouls seem to have decided to run off instead of attacking. "Ah well." He shakes his head ruefully. "I did save the best for last."

Suddenly, the organ music begins to crescendo. Lightning splits the sky as the fog thins, then vanishes, revealing the man with shadowed eyes. He stands alone, holding a scythe carved from bone in his hands.

"I have come for the one you call 'shovel man'. Normally I'd give the rest of you the chance to flee, but unfortunately for you I am working with the One of Worlds at the moment, so I have to kill you all instead. Worry not, for you will serve me well after your deaths."

The man with shadowed eyes smiles, takes a fighting stance, and waits for their response.

"ok, see what i mean?" and he goes over and nicks her with a ghostly blade.

sleeper then turns and takes a ready stance. "i challenge you to a duel, by the holy rights of swordsmanship." and he holds out his sword, a vicious, red-glowing saber. "you can fight me"

"You think to beat me on your own? Arrogant. Very well though, I accept your challenge." The man with shadowed eyes raises his scythe, then swings it down to launch an arc of violet energy.

Xiylna zips over to him, looking into his eyes. “I see your pain,” she says. “I see you. Don’t fight, please. They’re already hurting, and they don’t need to hurt more. You don’t need to hurt more, either.”

"Well... yeah." Weaver said. "I did still bring you here. I mean, you were going to die if you didn't too, so I figured we should just come here anyway." 

Clay sighed. "I'm sorry that he's dumb." He said. "Also, just noting that this battle is drifting across the Dream Realm, we've been drifting away from where we started. We're currently approaching powerful dreamspace, the Final Fortress."

"Not this again." Weaver said.

And as for the rest of you, the One of Worlds will succeed in her goals. This is inevitable. The best chance I have to succeed is to gain her favor."

The man moves just as fast as Sleeper, easily stopping the strike to his neck with his scythe. "Impressive speed you have. But speed won't be enough to kill me." He retaliates with a series of blurringly fast blows, shadows twisting around his scythe as it sliced through the air.

"It alliterates better than Final Stronghold, so I like it more!" Clay said.

The man with shadowed eyes allows Sleeper's blade to hit him, and it sinks hilt-deep into his torso. He looks down at the blade, then shrugs. "Was something supposed to happen? Perhaps you forget, I am a necromancer. That sword will not be enough to kill me." He steps backward, pulling away from the blade that had impaled him, then assumes a fighting stance again. "Still want to keep fighting?"

Xiylna flew in quick circles around the fight, growing more and more agitated. "Stop it, stop it, stop it! You are bad, you are all bad, you should all be hated and destroyed, everyone needs to stop fighting, stop stop stop, end it, don't hurt anyone, don't hurt anyone else, please, please I am afraid, I want to destroy you."

The man with shadowed eyes laughs. "Go ahead and try. I would not be a very good necromancer if I feared a single wraith." As the wave of fire nears him, it is sucked into his scythe and transformed into shadow.

"Oh, I do not intend to stop unless you force me to." the ground beneath Sleeper trembles, then erupts as a massive skeletal hand rips out of the ground and closes around him.

And then the floor began to glitch. Things around everyone began to flicker in and out of existence. "Wh- at- th- e- he-- ck?" Weaver said as he flashed from the Dream Realm and back.

sleeper promptly makes it explode. "i dont die that easy, idiot" and he starts using his non-demon sword. "lets see how this one goes, shall we?" he summons a different demon, and it turns into a flute, which he shakes and turns it into a blade.
