Elsecaller3414 she/her Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 well, I sometimes think I have heart problems or something else along those lines, because I cannot exercise for long before I can no longer breathe, my heart is hammering in my throat and it makes everything hurt. Just saying. And I found out recently that someone in my neighborhood has stage 4 cancer somewhere in her body that cannot be easily fixed with chemotherapy. She has several children, all under the age of eight, and one baby. 2

Elsecaller3414 she/her Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 Kind of. Not like she's my closest friend or anything, but I know her well enough that it hurts.
Guest Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 So, I lost another four pounds, which is great. But during training, I felt sick again and had to stop early. Again. I think my trainer is getting tired of it, and I'm worried he's mad at me... May I inquire as to what kind of training you are doing? I am not a professional, but I do know a thing or two about training, perhaps I can help? You shouldn't be feeling sick during any of it... well, I sometimes think I have heart problems or something else along those lines, because I cannot exercise for long before I can no longer breathe, my heart is hammering in my throat and it makes everything hurt. I'm usually good with cardio or weights and what not except for in the morning. I can not workout/train in the morning without feeling sick or like my body is devouring itself to spite me. This, of course, is unfortunate because mornings are pretty much the only time I have to do such activities.
TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted July 14, 2015 Posted July 14, 2015 Seriously, she's been at it for twenty minutes now. And she does this often enough that I wonder what she'd do if my sister suddenly became a model of her definition of good behavior.

TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted July 14, 2015 Posted July 14, 2015 What is her model of good behavior? Do everything you're told when she tells you to do it, without questioning why, and without complaining. And I agree that kids should obey their parents, but Mom was complaining to her friend about how my sister asked "Why?" too often. "She has to learn that sometimes in life, you have to follow directions without knowing the outcome," she said. And agree with her—but she takes it to the extreme where my sister will ask "Why should I do it this way and not the way I was doing it?" and get a lecture, rather than an explanation as to why Mom and Dad's way is more efficient. Basically, I worry that she's stifling my sister's curiosity, rather than helping her channel it into more constructive outlets.

I have never heard this expression before... no idea what it means... Sorry French here I hate training in the morning: I am pretty much worthless without at least 2 or 3 coffees pumped into me I prefer the afternoon, which is impossible in real life unless its the week-end, so I fall back onto the evenings.
Elsecaller3414 she/her Posted July 15, 2015 Posted July 15, 2015 Pretty much, "piggybacking" is to add on to a subject that others were talking about. Kind of like latching onto it, but not as fierce, I guess.

Essentially, I'm attaching myself/my problems to an existing conversation. The idea comes from the verb "piggybacking" which looks like this: You might see parents carrying their children in this manner (on their backs) from time to time.
Jo and the Bush all/any Posted July 15, 2015 Posted July 15, 2015 My earliest living Memory is Picking my dog up from the Breeders when I was three. He was a Beautiful Vizsla. Both of his parents were prize winning showdogs. He was Loyal, Beautiful, trusting and Hilarious. He never really grew up, acting like a puppy all his long life. He fell down the stairs yesterday, and started walking funny. So we took him into the vet. The vet told us that he was just getting old, and would likely recover soon. I was still worried about him though, so when we got him, I let him sleep in my bed with me. He's always loved sleeping with people, rather than alone. This morning he couldn't move anything other than his head. his fall had broken something in his spine. We took him back to the vet, where we were told the only option was to put him down, because he would never heal. We didn't want to do it, and decided to take turns with him alone, just to be with him. When I was with him, he was in so much pain. he barely even saw me, because he was panicking. He didn't know what was happening, all he knew was that he couldn't move. It hurt me to see him like that. so we made the hard choice. My whole life, he's been there to cheer me up, and to entertain me. he never cared about my flaws, he never judged me, and now he's gone. 6

Jo and the Bush all/any Posted July 15, 2015 Posted July 15, 2015 Not really at this point. Thanks for the support though.

Delightful Posted July 15, 2015 Posted July 15, 2015 I'm so sorry Joe! Sending those cuddleswarms back at you with a zillion hugs and heart-glue to put it back together. 2
Kobold King he/him Posted July 16, 2015 Posted July 16, 2015 My cat Oreo was paralyzed from the waist down today after being hit by a car. I just got back from the vet--we had to put him down. And the sun's beating down and the ground is rock hard so I can't even dig him a grave properly. We're still looking for a good place where we can actually bury him. I can't even describe how miserable I am right now. 7
Blaze1616 he/him Posted July 16, 2015 Posted July 16, 2015 It seems to be a bad week for pets. My heartfelt apologies go out to Kobold and Joe during this rough time. I know how hard it can be to lose a beloved pet. 2

I'm exhausted, dehydrated, and emotionally devastated, so I think I'm just gonna curl up with an MLP comic on my own for the rest of the day. 4
