"What do you think it was that brought you here just minutes before the Assassin arrived? Luck?"

"Yes."

" . . . Maybe you should sit down."

Pucky was futures he stood up. Looked at the others who were doing what they did, then said “I am sorry”. He ran.

Pucky will come back, but he is doing something. I don’t know how long it will be.

Feisyyd smirked a little. "So you consider yourself lucky to be here?"

Cloud rolled his eyes.

"I should have guessed you'd take it that way."

He was smiling though.

"...Cloud." Feisyyd's smile fell. "There's a fear in you that seems... unfamiliar. It resonates deeply with the Force itself."

@Justice_Magician

"It's nothing, well, nothing you need to worry about." He looked away.

"I . . . I've met one of those Sith people before and it . . . didn't end well, I'm just worried something like that will happen again."

Rajib walked over to where Cloud and Master Feisyyd were.

”Indeed, it rarely ends well with those Sith. But sometimes it does. You always have to try to remember that.”

He shifted uncomfortably. "I . . . don't know."

Feisyyd scooped up Rukk and hiked him up onto her shoulder. "They'll be alright. You tend to fall unconscious a lot when learning to use the Force - it's even possible they'll awake having seen some sort of vision."

Rukk shifted, and opened his eyes. His head pounded. “Owwwww,” he said.

"Uhh . . . It was a year or two ago, I can't remember exactly."

"I suppose I mean to ask what the situation was."

"I don't think you knowing about it would help us with this battle, I didn't even know her for that long," Cloud said, obviously trying to get out of the question.

"Cloud..." Feisyyd looked him in the eyes. "The Jedi are taught not to feel, but few understand by what regard. To hide away your thoughts and fears is to be consumed by them - you must be willing to reconcile them, or the Force will begin to control you instead."

"Or, maybe I should forget about it and move on with my life, I won't gain anything dwelling on it."

". . . and I'm not a Jedi."

She nodded. "I understand. But your connection to the Force is aligned with the state of your mind; and the state of your mind is connected to the Force. To forget your fears is to weaken yourself in both regards."

@Justice_Magician

"I . . . maybe," Cloud sighed.

"It's a long story . . ."

Feisyyd knelt to place a finger against Nayla's neck - her pulse was stable. She'd be fine.

"You've heard my story with the Sith," she said, "but not how it ends. I don't know the ending either, and I suspect I never will. As long as there is Darkness there is Light, and as long as Jedi follow it there will be Sith to oppose them. Ancient prophecies speak of heroes bringing balance, but... I don't believe peace can ever be found between us. To live is to be torn by conflict."

Cloud sat down, he felt so tired suddenly.

"I though my story had ended, but . . . I guess not,"

"I've never really told anyone about this, I don't really know where to start."

exposition dump here we go

"Okay, okay,

"Uh,

"She just showed up one day, on the moon I was living on, just out of nowhere.

"She figured out I was magic really quickly, probably the same way you did. I had never met anyone else with 'the Force' before so I was curious. I wanted to know things about myself and how it all worked, y'know? I guess that blinded me. So, when she asked me if I wanted to be her apprentice, of course I said yes.

"It only took me a couple months to figure that she wasn't . . . a good person. Some the things she was teaching, and some of things she did where evil

"Once I realized the truth I told her I was done. I didn't want any part in what she was doing. Of course, it wasn't that easy.

"I couldn't just walk away with all her secrets. She said I couldn't exist if I wasn't working with her so she . . . tried to . . . y'know."

Cloud closed his eyes.

"And well I- I'm still here so . . . yeah she . . . she didn't win."
