I have a few questions about the Cosmere's most mobile Perpendicularity. What would happen if Dalinar opened a Perpendicularity while in mid-air?

Would the Perpendicularity fall with him? Would stay floating in place while he fell?

What would it look like in Shadesmar? Would the Perpendicularity just be out of reach for people who can't fly?

It would probably be a sphere or something. I don't think it would fall as it isn't really a physical thing, it is a point in space where all Three Realms collide, relative to a reference frame. For one to move you have to move the point where they collide, independent of the reference frame, which would be a very impressive feat, I would say. As it would lead to a meaningful change in what locations are being combined.

I also don't think gravity would effect them. With how they work, they most definitely could be made mid-air and still work.

They would drop in CR if Dalinar would open it in the air and went through it, RoW ch 47 (Dalinar was on a flying platform):

Quote

One of Jasnah’s escape boats waited on the other side, in Shadesmar. In an emergency, Dalinar could get himself and the Mink through the perpendicularity. They’d drop a short distance—but not nearly as far as they would on this side—into a padded ship with mandras hooked in place.

And Because Dalinar holds CR and SR in his hands, if he were to free fall, perpendicularity would fall with him and with his hands.
