Zas678 he/him
I notice than when I copy a really long post from Word, it randomly drops a few spaces. I don't know if this is Word's fault or IPBs, but is there anything I can do about it?

Chaos he/him
It's IPB's fault. There are a few formatting things that happen. For example, IPB can't render tabs without you using BBCode. It's a common problem with forums. I second the use of Notepad (or, if you want something much better, use Notepad++. You get basic text editing, but with a tab interface, and a bunch of other useful features). Google Docs works pretty well for me, too. When you were typing in Word, what was the formatting that the forum borked on?
Zas678 he/him
The formatting was fine- it was spacebar that was being skipped. So if I copied this sentence fromword, it would looklike this. It doesn't do it all of the time, which I find odd. But next time I'll just use Google Docs or Notepad. Thanks!

That doesn't happen when I (rarely) paste from OpenOffice.
KChan she/her
It might be an artifact of the way Word does things. I've noticed problems on MBI where people who write their character applications in Word - Word specifically, that is, not OpenOffice or some other word processor - there are sometimes random issues involving line spacing getting borked up. This seems to happen more often with newer versions of the program, which does really bizarre things with spacing.

I was going to say that I get this a lot with my character profiles on the RP boards.
Chaos he/him
I strongly recommend Notepad++ for a basic text editor. Much more fully featured than Notepad.
Kurkistan he/him
I strongly recommend Notepad++ for a basic text editor. Much more fully featured than Notepad. Second and third-ed. I've been using Notepad++ for my crazy-insane transliteration project with Turos, and I can't believe that I didn't make it my default text editor until now.
Joe ST he/him
Yeah NP++ works, which is a surprising attribute when it comes to software and Windows. Even Microsoft cant make software correctly.
