Pleiades she/her
I never know what to say in these things. HI, I'm Elizabeth. I used to be over at Adonalsium.net but the site imploded this year, so I'm here to connect with other Sanderson fans. I don't tend to be super active on forums these days, but whatever, I'll introduce myself anyways. I live in Utah, about 20 minutes from Brandon. We were at BYU at the same time, and he's actually a friend of a friend, and I keep thinking that if I had gone to that one thing that one time, maybe I'd actually know him. Whatever - I'm just happy that I live close enough to go to all the release parties and signings. It was nice to meet some of you 17th Sharders there at the Alloy of Law release party! My favorite of Brandon's works is the Way of Kings - I'm so incredibly excited for the rest of the series to come out. The book just had SO MUCH in it - not just the story, but all the worldbuilding and connection with the cosmere. I love it! All the books are awesome, though, and I seriously can't wait for the Mistborn RPG to be out. The video game too - that's going to be AMAZING. I graduated BYU in 2004 with a degree in Linguistics (so there's an "almost" for the Incalculable Peter Ahlstrom too ) and Near Eastern Studies. Now, I'm a stay-at-home mom of four - twin 6 year old girls, a 3 year old boy, and 3 month old Baby Kaladin. My husband, Orion, is a software developer and also a Sanderson fan. It's super fun to have someone to geek out to about the books. I enjoy reading all the crazy cosmere theories here and discussing them with him. Our other major hobby for the last seven (!) years is World of Warcraft. It's something fun we can do together without having to pay for a babysitter. My major love for the game, though, is roleplaying. I love killing internet dragons as much as the next girl, but it's super fun to come up with stories for my characters and interact with other people's characters. My favorite is probably the hyperactive narcoleptic gnome warlock who relies on her demons to keep her awake. It's also easy inspiration for art and writing. I also like Michael Jackson, D&D, board games, chocolate ice cream, Star Trek, skiing, and fuzzy sweaters. And now I don't know what else to say, so HI! Kurkistan he/him
Hi! Welcome to insanity! And cookies! I admire your dedication in naming your son Kaladin, by the way. If you're looking to get into roleplaying, the Caton of Inquisition could use some new blood.

KChan she/her
Hey there, and welcome to the site! It was great seeing you at the signing (I was the one running around in a Mistcoat), and thank you so much for letting me take a picture of Kaladin! <3 He's adorable. How's he enjoying the quilt? Also, yay, another WoWer! My husband got me into it, but I haven't been playing much this semester - I'm a Senior at FAU studying, guess what, Linguistics! Anyways, what do you play? My main is a Night Elf Druid.

See, I knew you were cool. The question is, Bear, Cat, Tree, or Lazerchikin?
KChan she/her
Lazerchikin, of course! Though I'm kind of mad that Cats and Bears got their models all spiffified and the Kaboomkins have the same low-poly fluffbutts we always have. Still, I very much enjoy being able to fire moon lasers at things. I have a Tree (technically "tree" now, sadly) off-spec, but I still kind of fail at HoT healing. XD

My main was a night elf Lazerchikin... had a nelf bear/tree alt on the same server just for grins (and a whoooooole lot of other alts for that matter). I played for 5 years, quit this past January for financial reasons and due to time constraints while everyone else was leveling and gearing up after Cataclysm. May or may not go back to it at some point if the finances improve, depending on how many of my old guildies are still playing.
KChan she/her
Sounds great! I'm kind of sad because I was just starting to getting into raiding with my guild when the semester exploded in my face. Boooo. I'm sort of curious what Mists of Pandaria will be like, though, so I dunno if I can bear to quit just yet. XD
