Anyone who thinks “come at me trolls!” Was anything but a joke needs to take a step back and ponder that they might take themselves just a tad too seriously.

Sorry if I offended anyone.

I won’t be returning to these forums.  I’ve tried to post theories or participate in discussions but some of the longtime users of this site are bullies and intimidating.  It’s a wonder any new users stick around with all the pompous toxicity.

I’ll continue loving BS’s work Without the “scholarly” community.

We aren't trying to be rude, sorry. We simply just disagree with you, and I apologize for getting overly rude.

And I am curious in how we were supposed to know it was a joke? I am not trying to be rude here, I am genuinely wondering, as I didn't really see anything comedic about ad hominid towards strangers. I am not upset anymore, simply confused. Such jokes don't work when talking with people you are not close to, especially over a text-based medium where the communication of tone is difficult. It becomes difficult to discern if something is a joke or not.

Anyway, we aren't trying to hurt you, we are just trying to discuss the topic. We do not think we are better than you, we just want to discuss the topic.

I'm sorry you didn't like the forums, you might like the Discord server instead, which is way more laidback. Keep in mind most of the people in these forums are older, intellectual kinds of people, so something more pop culture might fly over their heads, but I feel like it's a moot point by now. plus with the kind of debates and finagling we do here, it's really suited mostly to a specific type of people. I wish it wasn't, but it is. At least the theory forums, the fun-focused and general forums are far better in terms of attitude. Best of luck!

One, that the sword only killed what was actually stabbed - the person (Rayse), not the power itself. The Shard of Odium was in the spiritual realm, and only the Vessel was vulnerable in the vision.

"The vision" was just what Taravangian saw when Odium took him briefly into the Spiritual Realm. I think that when O shows T his plans, he is opening a tiny perpendicularity to let T see into the Spiritual realm and glimpse his plans. So when T grabbed Nightblood and stabbed it through Odium, he was stabbing the Shard of Odium. Not just Rayse.

But yeah your second point is right. Nightblood only killed Rayse and not Odium because the Power of Odium is simply too powerful to be taken out by a "mortal blade"

Not sure about the Perpendicularity bit, but in a way, yes he was stabbing Odium itself. It just so happens that all of Odium that was concentrated there at the time that was being stabbed happened to be the Vessel, Rayse, which was so Inevsted that all of what Nightblood sucked up was just him. Technically some of Odium's Investiture went with him, but that's a fraction of a fraction of a fractional amount of how much the Shard has, so it doesn't make a difference to the Shard.
