Ari chuckled nervously, turning off onto a side street to hopefully eliminate some of the road sounds. "Ooookay what is it?"

"Can you come to Earth? We can cover the pass and transportation."

[Mags she/they]

"Wha- Parprika I'm on Earth? No one is letting me leave."

Just then a very loud group of people passed yelling and laughing and the phone defiantly picked it up

"You are?"

"Yeah?? No one is letting me leave . . . they're worried I'll return to my people and give them human military secrets or something-- not that I have any of those. Your government is terrified I know of some advantage my people can use against then at least."

Yeah, I guess I thought it was implied she couldn't leave Earth so she's still there. By "Her house" I meant her residence on earth, she's been living there for upwards of a year. She got news from the elves over the phone.

Paprika blinked a couple times. "Okay, uhm... alright, then. I'm not on base right now, so... I guess can you come visit my apartment? How close are you to Geneva?"

"Um well . . . yes I am in the city but I'm not supposed to leave my house, there were guards and everything . . ." 

Ari sighed, might as well tell her. 

"I escaped though! so I can come if you send me your address,"

"Right I'm coming!" Ari said, then hung up. Finding the apartment was easy with the map inside her Data-thingie. Luckily she had already been in the right area, so it was a fairly short walk.

A few minutes later she was knocking on the door.

[Channelknight Fadran]

Two locks had to slide out of the way before Paprika could open up, but did so still in her uniform despite the hour. The television was on behind her, logged into Vinde+ so a small redheaded child could watch an old Justice League cartoon (Batman and Wonder Woman were currently arguing about how best to defeat Lex Luthor).

"Hi, Ari. Come in, come in..." She seemed a little anxious.

"Hallo! how are you? good to see you!" she said as Paprika lead her inside. 

"So what is the favor?"

[Channelknight Fadran]

"Uh..." Paprika looked over at the child. "Can't right this second. Basil, honey, how much longer is on that show?"

"It's almost done, Pappie." He insisted.

She shook her head. "Can you pause it and brush your teeth first?"

"Okayyyy." Basil lethargically paused the show and scampered to the bathroom.

The two of them were now alone in the kitchen. "Okay. Can I get you anything? Tea? Cocoa?"

[Mags she/they]

"The small one is cute! do you have any Aoisdufaohwe?"

[Channelknight Fadran]

"...No."

"Muh nme's Bsil!" He said, mouth presumably full of toothpaste, from the bathroom.

"Hello young Bsil! Aoisdufaohwe is very good you should try it!"

[Channelknight Fadran]

"I'll have to put in an order." Paprika just got out a few cups of water for the time being. "Anyways, so I haven't heard any reports about your... situation."

[Mags she/they]

"Yes well, they want to keep everything about me very quite, you know? I was friend a few days ago, but now I'm a Foreign alien spy bent on your race's annihilation. Funny how things can change," She said, taking the water and sitting on the floor.

[Channelknight Fadran]

Apparently elves sat on the floor? Paprika joined her. "Well, what I'm saying is that I'm not obligated to report you or any of your actions to my superiors. So you're safe here."

[Mags she/they]

"Ah! that is good, I did worry,"

[Channelknight Fadran]

"And also if I did have to... then I don't." She scratched the back of her head. "Because I'm my own commanding officer now."

[Mags she/they]

"Good for you! so what is you wanted to talk about?"

Basil came running out of the bathroom, a bit of toothpaste still lingering on his face, to finish his show.

"I..." Paprika lowered her voice a little. "I've been put in charge of a new... group. I can't say much yet, but... well..."

[Mags she/they]

"New friends?" Ari asked hopefully.

[Channelknight Fadran]

"More like a new military squad."
