Variance spoke so only Allera could hear. "What do you think we should do about her?"

Allera gestured covertly to Strohger, then said “same” under their breath.

”Back to where this all began.”

What does she mean by that?

Variance looked a bit uneasy. "Back there, huh?"

Take her in, same as Strohger. They’re saying this low enough that you can’t hear though.

(edit: this also applies to variance’s post)

“Right. You weren’t there. We’re going back to the planet where Variance, Ayia, and I met. Where I was staying before all this happened.”

I don't think Strohger was suggesting to take her in?

"My former prison."

He wasn’t. We took him in.

Allera is bad at communication.

“Oh.” They hadn’t thought of that. “Ok. Where… should we go instead?”

"We should go to where I come from. A universe where no beorin or Kheli reside. A place where everyone doesn't have to live in fear"

"Really, it's alright. Most of what made it so difficult was the isolation, which shouldn't be a problem anymore."

“We’re not going back. Fine or not, trauma exists.”

A spark of hope lit up inside Allera’s mind, which they quickly smothered. “I thought Ayia said that universe-hopping can’t be controlled.”

"It's not that bad for me. Remember, my mind remained relatively unchanged throughout that time."

"It is a rift, a puncture in the hole of reality, but it always leads to the same place. Something to do with a lot of Hedric motivation and Introluna constructs makes it stable. But it still leaks dark energy on both sides, which would make it deadly to colonize." Strohger shrugged, "Clearly every universal opening is different. The Schism Rift is definitely stranger than that portal."

I think at this point they're taking her in anyway. Maybe to avoid confusion we can just have this be one of her eccentricities and not an actual threat? Unless you have something particularly planned, I guess.

“Hm?” Allera looked at the viewer in concern. The ship did seem to register another ship within eyesight. It was already changing course to avoid it.

"I just think it would be easier to go to the planet rather than trying to cross over universes again. Allera, I promise it isn't going to harm me in any way to be there."

"Why would they expect me or you? You haven't been there, and no one really knew I was there. As for Allera, I can't imagine it's any less safe than when she was here before. The Beorin didn't recognize her."

"I had been trying to escape because at the time it was a prison. It is no longer that."

"But either way, I aspire to get back to my homeworld, then share the information here with them. So I will be headed that way regardless."
