I assume most people don't have it (trace is only useful if you come from King's Folly Universe) and it would be pretty easy to add if he can add powers.

Yeah, it probably wouldn't work. Shim doesn't have the powers to transfer trace (in fact, no one does), and he certainly cannot replicate it, since it's a finite substance that is attached to objects, dead or alive. It's connected to the physical form, in that sense.

That would mean Shim would be able to access Strohger's powers while possessing him, and have access to strohger's air.
