Oooh.  And so, like with a Mistborn you can only steal one of their powers, with a pony you could either, say, steal a pegasus's ability to fly OR their special cutie mark-linked talent!  So it would take one spike for wings, and one for a talent.

Though for unicorns, that would mean that you'd need one spike for even getting a unicorn horn and the very "basic level" unicorn abilities (unless, of course, the recipient is already a unicorn), and another for a particular type of magic speciality.

Sombra spiking to steal a unicorn horn explains everything. No other crystal pony is a unicorn, and his horn was really unnatural looking.

I sudden.y feel compelled to make a Mistborn/MLP crossover fic.

As a matter of fact, there's at least one good pony creation tool available for free on the web. Feast your eyes on this. It lets you design color and shape and outfit, and even lets you import your own cutie marks.

Does it work? Feast your eyes on my new profile picture and judge for yourself. :D

This...might very well be the best thing ever.  Excuse me, I'm about to sink way too many hours of my life into designing AoL cutie marks...

So, the Roughs are supposed to be "The Wild West", that untempered border on the edge of civilisation, right?

For some reason, I think the Apple family would fit in pretty well there lol.

Don't ask me why, but I'm thinking about Discord and this whole spiking conversation.  I can't see him going along with it (directly), if only because he's more into...uh...discord and chaos than something systematic and bound by rules.

However, I think you may have something with King Sombra, Quiver.  He is freaky, and I agree about his horn.

So that´s what happened to Nighthound after he got ponyfied.

Do you mean to say that Discord would ruin Hemalurgy?

And giggle to himself every time he thought about it for at least the next 500 years.

A ponified version of The Alloy of Law, starring Applejack as Wax, Pinkie Pie as Wayne, and Twilight Sparkle as Marasi?

Take my upvotes.

Pinkie Pie is perfect as Wayne. It even fits with the canon, since Equestrian is clearly in some kind of near-industrial revolution state, and is in the midst of re-discovering old enemies (Discord) and magics (alicorn ascension).

...damnation. I'm really tempted to do some sort of pony/cosmere fiction now.

So is My Little Pony: The Alloy of Friendship an official go then? Because I would totally read that. :D

Well, I already took your up votes. I suppose if I didn't do it now, it'd be backing out of a deal, and tiny kobolds would show up to break my kneecaps.

Well, let me just put it this way...

* puffs tiny cigar *

Real nice faction ya got here. It'd be a real shame if something were ta... happen to it. If ya back out now, my organization's gonna have ta put the hurt on you. And nobody wants that. So open up a new text file or Google Doc and start writing, capisce?

The pony creator desperately needs to add a cigar or pipe to the accessories. :P

Quiver, now you know what to write next month, otherwise the downvote-mafia will paint this topic red.

Once upon a time in the magical land of Equestria, in the town of Ponyville, there lived three fillies- Applebloom, Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo. They were the best of friends, and spent everyday crusading for their cutie marks, convinced that that life, and their friendship, would never end.

Today, Bloom returns home to a very different Ponyville.

In the years since she ran away to her family in Appleoosa, Ponyville has boomed into a city to rival Manehatten or Baltimare. Princesses Cadence and Twilight have ascended to rule Equestria, and peace lies across the land. Peace- with the exception of the strange shapes that fill the windows of the abandoned Friendship Castle. Peace, besides the creatures said to lurk in the dark alley's, creatures the size of alicorn's, with spikes instead of wings, or horns, or eyes.

If there is to be peace in Ponyville, Applebloom will have to settle old grudges with former friends. If Ponyville -if Equestria- is to survive, it will need the Cutie Mark Crusaders to ride again.

Three ponies, with hearts as strong as horses, and friendship stronger than steel.

On an unrelated note, I have started developing the idea of "The Twilight Legion"- multiple parallel versions of Teilight that I can use for RPing purposes in this social group forum until I finally get around to making a Quiver Pony OC.

I might have a problem.

There's definite story potential there.  Crisis on Infinite Equestrias, anyone?

Haaaa!!!!! :D

So, we made a convert over new year's.  On the eve of 2015, we managed to watch two of the four DVDs containing season 1 episodes with a friend of mine.  We proudly sang along with the theme song, many of Pinkie's impromptu tunes, and Art of the Dress, and even worked in a game of MLP: The Game of Life, in which you earn friendship points.  She took the rest of season 1 and the DVD set of season 2 with her to watch until we hang out next.  Yay! new MLP fans!

I've actually seen a few fan fics using that premise, including one which is all about parallel Twilights...but it's good enough that I don't mind repeating it.

Also, because it's a really good series that needs promoting, the latest volume of the MLP comic series is a Crisis story! Sort of. I mean, it uses the whole mirror!Universe conflict stuff instead of dozens of worlds, but there's some awesome callouts to the original Crisis in it.

I'm starting to think I should just give up waiting and order season four on DVD. I'm getting a little tired of waiting for it (even though all the plot stuff has already been spoiled for me.

They're taking My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic off of Netflix in February. My little sister isn't going to be happy about this.

Netflix does have episodes of the pre-FiM pony series available, so she watched some of those today. While she claims to have liked them, I noticed that she spent much of her viewing time asking when Fluttershy was going to make an appearance.

Myself? I vomited rainbows, and not in the good way.

I... am actually rather happy about that, to be honest. I keep bugging a friend of mine about whether or not FiM is on the UK Netflix yet, and he keeps having to tell me that all they have is Equestria Girls "whatever that is". If it's going off the US one, there is a chance it might be added to the UK one, and in that case, I will finally have a reason to get the service.

But also: lol.

I actually saw a Pre-FiM series on DVD in the run up to Christmas; some kind of holiday special about "Twinkleshine". I didn't pick it up-obvious reasons- but... yes. From what I've heard, pre-FiM as almost sickeningly saccharine.
