For real though, I think there are just some spambots that follow people randomly. It should be fine! I’ve seen a few people who have been followed by this one.

Bots are not real people, they are mass-generated accounts that try to post spam and sometimes do weird things when they fail. If you think a user is a (spam)bot you can report one of their messages and a mod will investigate (and, if they are a bot, ban them). If a user has no messages you can report but looking at their profile still suggests they might be a bot (e.g. some have links to casinos in their bios), you can post a message on their profile and report that instead.

Most of the bots are Indian, for whatever reason. It's not about you

That bot followed me too, you can add it to your 'ignored users' in settings if its bothering you. I think it follows people to make it seem more like a real account.

No need to ignore it; it's been flagged as spammer and as nuked from orbit and banned. Certainly you can do this for members, but definitely report spambots.

I think the same spambot was following a bunch of other people. Me included.
