High prince of geeks he/him
Kaladin so far has survived three highstorms (something supposedly impossible). The first time he was chained up making it hard to protect himself. The second time he was in an even worse situation, (the middle of a chasm) not only is he facing a highstorm but flash-flodding and confided spaces. The third time he is somehow in an even worse situation, the middle of the air when two highstorm power storms clash. Something that was so strong it destroyed several plateaus, ones that had survived centuries of highstorms. just to review 1st book: one storm 2nd book two highstorms even worse condtions. I am guessing in the third book we are going to sea our friend Kal survive three different highstorms or everstorms with something horrible happening at the time like fighting darkness
Popular Post Kobold King he/him
In the third book the Stormfather personally attempts to strangle Kaladin, dying himself at the last second. In the fourth book, Brandon Sanderson tries to kill him off, but also fails. In the fifth book Kaladin becomes the first textual entity to breach the Fourth Wall and kick serious behinds in the real world.
Swimmingly he/him
I'm imagining the Splinter cast reads reaction to that. Probably something like, "OhharmonytheresastrangemaninmyroomWHYDIDN'TYOUBRINGRENARIN?!"

Swimmingly he/him
There's a pattern to this, I'm sure, a definite pattern to these puns. They pop up here, then there, dots on a mental spreadsheet leading me in no particular direction. It's a pattern, I'm sure of it, a pattern.

Fifth of Daybreak he/him
Thought: being in the Everstorm when it's not combined with a Highstorm would cause a Sureginder to lose stormlight. That would certainly make the situation worse.
maxal she/her
It could be you are right and this is a pattern. However, I would prefer if it weren't. Kaladin surviving highstorms is getting quite old, just like Kaladin saving the day. Whatever Brandon has in store for Kaladin, I hope it won't involve highstorms and/or saving everyone, again. In fact, as unpopular as it may seem, I would rather if Kal had less screen time in the following book. Not that I do not enjoy him, it is just I feel his story in going round in circles. Khyrindor he/him
Well to be fair, his Oath is "Save the day" or something along those lines...

Best parts of the book are Kaladin saving people imo
maxal she/her
Best parts of the book are Kaladin saving people imo I think it is getting old... Not the saving the bridgemen part, that was (and still is) awesome, but the saving the Kohlins part.. He saves Dalinar's army in WoR. He saves Dalinar/Adolin a few times against Szeth. He saves Adolin in the badass duel. He saves Elhokar. I was cheering when he saved the army at the Tower. I was cheering again when he jump in the arena to help Adolin. I was fine (sort of) to see him save Elhokar because it was his job. However, I was slightly annoyed he ended up being the only one to fight and prevail against Szeth. Mailliw73 he/him
No one else had the capabilities to. A Windrunner with an Honorblade is quite difficult to beat. Even Dalinar, the Blackthorn that he is, can't fly into the air like Szeth or Kaladin. Adolin, with all his dueling prowess, can't fight well while being Lashed sideways. No one but Kaladin had the ability to catch Szeth. That's the only way Szeth could've been caught and beaten.
