Edgedancer he/him Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 There are some comments that are so awesome, the thread lies dormant for hours because no one can top them. Heading to the movies now--gonna see me some space raccoons! Thankfully we have enough insane creativity that such occurances are rare. Thank you, still. Have fun. 2
TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted August 26, 2014 Author Posted August 26, 2014 (edited) On the other hand, Lightwards clearly likes Voidgaze. Funtimes clearly likes her too. Lightwards is not exactly BFFs with Funtimes, and a romantic rivalry could push the Empire to its breaking point. Al also likes Voidgaze. I think I know how Oregon is finally destroyed. By a Lightwards/Voidgaze/Funtimes/Al love rectangle. Have fun, Kobold! Edited August 26, 2014 by TwiLyghtSansSparkles 2

On an unrelated note, did anyone hear anything from Matrim? 1
TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted August 26, 2014 Author Posted August 26, 2014 No. Not a word. Should someone PM him?
Edgedancer he/him Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 No. Not a word. Should someone PM him? Might be better, it has been a couple days by now. You want the honors as the GM?

Voidus Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 I sent him a PM a couple days ago and still haven't heard back :S
Kobold King he/him Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 Have fun. Have fun, Kobold! Back now--and I most certainly had fun. To be completely honest, Guardians of the Galaxy is one of the greatest movies I have ever seen, in or out of a theater. I give it two thumbs up--five stars--eleven party hats out of a possible ten. I am considering placing it in my "Favorite Movie EVER" slot, a place which I have long reserved for Steelheart: The Motion Picture. It really is that awesome. On an unrelated note, this RP could use more talking raccoons. 2

Doesn't everything need more talking raccoons? 1
Voidus Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 well if there's a raccoon anywhere SoulSwitch can use it to be a talking raccoon I've been considering seeing it for a while now but I haven't heard any reviews from people I know, I think this might clinch it. 2

Doesn't everything need more talking raccoons? We've been wanting to go for a while now; we learned that today was the last day our theater would be showing the feature, so we carpe diemed it. And yes--all things in this world require talking raccoons. I will make their introduction to all works of fiction my personal quest. well if there's a raccoon anywhere SoulSwitch can use it to be a talking raccoon I've been considering seeing it for a while now but I haven't heard any reviews from people I know, I think this might clinch it. SoulSwitch just became well over 20% cooler. I'd definitely recommend it. James Gunn really delivered on his concept. 2
Voidus Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 Maybe I should change his cutie mark from a bird to a raccoon... 2

I don't know how much longer it'll be in our town, but we might just have to wait for DVD. oh well. 1
Kobold King he/him Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 I don't know how much longer it'll be in our town, but we might just have to wait for DVD. oh well. It's little things like this that make me wish time travel were easily attainable. So, this ones specifically directed at Voidus... since MLP seems to be a permanent part of the "What Happened in Oregon" community, should we have a ponycode compilation post on the "Epics of Oregon" thread? 2
Voidus Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 (edited) I don't know how many people kept their codes but it's definitely a good idea, I think Mat's the only one left to make a post on it so if you want to do a second one with the code that'd be fine, or we can just post them in each characters spoiler box.EDIT: I have also just realized that one of the Epics I made that was originally intended to just be a pretty useless Illusionist is actually Funtimes' ultimate enemy. FX: Can create illusions of particle effects he has seen. He can make shinies. Edited August 27, 2014 by Voidus 2

You're kidding, right? I think Nathan has a romantic rival! Which, in fairness, is kind of a mixed blessing. On the one hand, being Funtimes' boyfriend is a good cover and good protection. On the other hand....things were getting weird. 2
Voidus Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 On another note I've just realized that the P's are a tad OP at the moment, he has a prime invincibility, shadow manipulation as well as all of PP's tech (Although Penumbra's unlikely to use that) it might be time he passed the tech on to someone else, the next Dread Pirate Purple Phoenix 2

Voidus Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 Well none of the P's are likely to get on with Remington well enough to give it to him, Alice is definitely a possibility when she re-enters the scene. But then, she couldn't grow the traditional PP beard

Well there are some pony codes for characters like Steelheart who don't specifically belong to one of the players, so that was why I thought a universal code compilation could come in handy. And I'd definitely be interested in getting my grubby little paws on the Nightwielder and Megan codes. Well none of the P's are likely to get on with Remington well enough to give it to him, Alice is definitely a possibility when she re-enters the scene. The constant snogging is driving Lightwards to madness faster than his deaths are. 2

I'm actually quite happy with how Megan's turned out. Alice the bowler hat wearing reborn former zombie....whose death...um....allowed her to grow a beard? Eh, works for me. Her plan is working! Uh...I mean....I think I found another fossil! Look, isn't it pretty? Pretty, pretty fossil.... 2
Voidus Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 FX + Funtimes = Illusionary fireworks, disco balls and a really, really awesome party. 2

Look, isn't it pretty? Pretty, pretty fossil.... Yay! Awesome! Treachery! Anyway, I was thinking of introducing Aldo the Enigmatic here in the next post or so. Just show him carrying out his evening, deciding to visit the Museum on the next game day. But before I do, I was thinking of Edgedancer's comment of how his power set is a little generic. So I thought I'd propose a small change. Instead of teleportation, I was thinking of giving him the ability to alter the mass of an object by an order of magnitude. He lays his hand on an object, and he can increase its mass by ten, or reduce it by ten. He cannot use the power on the same object multiple times. He often reduces the size of large objects to make them more portable, or amplifies the mass of an object while he throws it to inflict ungodly amounts of damage on his enemies. How's that sound? He'd keep the deductive precognition, but this would replace his teleportation with something that complements his other power a little more nicely. 2
