By "wrinkles" I assume you mean "Murphy" and by "ironing out" I assume you mean "assassination." :P

As soon as Lightwards is made aware of Lucentia, I was planning on having him start coming up with the plan. His thoughts will go something like "Yikes, even an immortal Epic like myself should watch out for her. She could trap a High Epic like a bug caught in amber. Hey, wait a minute..."

Yeah, Murphy is a pretty big wrinkle. Maybe, if he likes puzzles, Funtimes could put him in a room that's one giant puzzle. Of course, his Murphionic field would ensure that one of the pieces didn't fit right, allowing him to escape, and there would be a flaw in the design that allowed him to turn the piece into a gigantic knife with a will of its own or something like that. :P

Sounds like a good plan, though, and I can see Altermind going for it, too.

I did think of an alternative plan, Altermind or some other illusionist could make Corpsemaker think that Murphy is an enemy, at this point either CM succeeds in killing Murphy, or his murphionic field causes CM to accidentally look in a mirror and kill himself :P

Couldn´t CM just negate the crystal?

Not if he was sufficiently distracted while Lucentia is growing it. I don't think he could negate crystal that's already been grown.

And he can only negate one power at a time so if he's negating the crystal then any other offensive Epics could attack him.

Fair point.

Well, it´s not like other powers are an actual danger to him

Yes, but I'd imagine having Nighthound trying unsuccessfully to tear your arms off would be very distracting. :P

Could Nighthound heal if CM stared at him, or would that be a killing blow even for him?

We talked about that and decided it would leave him uncouncious for a while.

I'm planning on having Murphy, Streetwise, and Gordon be my main Characters after CorpseMaker gets Killed. Sightline will be more background as well. So, in the interest of the Success of Project Amber, as well as the Survival of Murphy, I present Project Amber; Contingencies.

Project Amber; Contingencies

A full Definition of Murphy's Power:

Murphy's ability can affect any space where in a threat to him is posed. He does not have to be knowledgeable to the threat, nor must he be conscious. His ability Targets the Threat, neutralizing it in the simplest possible way. The Ability can break something at the weakest point, scramble targeting, jam guns, cause distractions or other such accidents.

Murphy, when Conscious, can direct the field to target a specific person, place or group. The targeted area will receive every possible wrong thing. Bladders will bulge, clothes will rip, phones will die, a bird will poop on them, they'll trip, taking down others with them, an Epic might even pass by, killing them. When Murphy Directs the field, it will not protect him as well.

So, the easiest way to neutralize him, is to make him know that threats are coming. If he knows that threats are approaching, he will take offensive action, disrupting any threat, while he does this, he will be made vulnerable to new threats. Lucienta could trap him, though her diamonds would eventually be worn away by his power. The best possibility is to have Nighthound take control of Murphy, if this proves impossible, Cricket could grab him and jump away. His power would start affecting her soon after though, so she might not be able to land in the way she intended to.

Another way, which has yet to be proven possible, is to simply tell Funtimes that Murphy has never been to Disneyland. Funtimes teleports him there to correct this oversight, and as she means him no harm, only Fun, his power will not register her as a threat.

Could Aldo keep him occupied long enough for the operation to be carried out? His deductive precognition could allow him to see various misfortunes coming and avoid them, locking them both in conflict long enough for CM to be neutralized.

Heck, Lightwards wouldn't want to meet any major Epics in the city without Funtimes on call. He's scared of her, but also realizes that she can be a very devastating weapon.

His cutie mark is a Celtic symbol for eternity. According to Google.

I like it.  Glad to see we are on page 200 and nothing major happened.  i was expecting a partial event horizon collapse, in which none of us would be able to leave.

Good that we have a good amount of Epics with distracting capabilities. Although, Disneyland sounds promising... and it totally still exsists. :P

I just wondered, if Lightwards resurection works by healing his body, does that mean that he couldn´t resurect if his entire body was anihilated.

All right-y, I made a memorial comic depicting Scorch's death. If this one is well-received, I might be persuaded to do one of these every time a player character dies... assuming I maintain loads of free time.

Before I post the link, I should point out that the wonderful "Mech Hangar" background was found here.

Here is the comic.

You actually should have waited a couple of posts. Would have been an awesome 2000. Instead you can talk about how to kill Lightwards. :P

Oh darn. Didn't think of that. I guess I'll just have to post the comic again--

There. With that out of the way, on to your Lightwards question.

As long as traces of his DNA remain, he can resurrect. Incinerating him won't work, because microscopic genetic fragments will survive the heat and allow him to come back. Even in a nuclear blast, you could scrape enough protein molecules off a wall for him to resurrect. Even if you completely annihilated every molecule in his body, I guarantee you that he'd have left enough loose hairs and skin cells behind him to provide an alternative route for resurrection.

You pretty much have to use his weakness if you want him to stay dead.
