TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted September 4, 2014 Author Posted September 4, 2014 (edited) So in the animal fight, she has the least amount pf power. Exactly. But with more class. He's a busy man. He can't write a personal letter to everyone. Edit: Flashpoint could die and be replaced with someone else, if you wanted to go that route. Kobold King he/him Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 Well I suppose its quite limited based on the size of the animals. For example 5 or 6 sparrows, a swarm of ants, 2 or 3 snakes, but not a bear. So nothing larger than... say, a Christmas pudding? That's pretty much the opposite of Lightwards, who is limited by the mental ability of the animal. So he can control over fifty dinosaurs at once, but twenty humans taxes his limit. I just got a darkly humorous image of one of Thoughttown's Epics getting a pink slip: "Dear Sir or Madam, Due to recent economic events beyond our control, Thoughttown will be downsizing our staff. Unfortunately for you, your position is no longer needed. You will be sacrificed to an angry basilisk Epic named CorpseMaker at your earliest convenience. "Regards, "Altermind." At least they have a good severance package. Oh wait, it's literal severing. Never mind. 2
Mailliw73 he/him Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 He's a busy man. He can't write a personal letter to everyone. Edit: Flashpoint could die and be replaced with someone else, if you wanted to go that route. How many do you think he's getting rid of? I thought of that, but then that would get rid of both of Altermind's original allies. Which might be a good idea, hmm. But after the battle scene,I like Flashpoint more. I think I'm getting too attached to these people. Maybehe could defect? Only he doesn't fit in with anyone else. Chimera could start his own faction, maybe. Hmm. 2

Scorch is going to die a traitor, so it might be nicely ironic to have Flashpoint stay loyal to the end. 1

I feel I should warn you that if Chimera tries to start a new faction, Lightwards will try to either absorb his group or destroy it before it becomes large enough to be a threat. So a fight would break out pretty quickly afterwards, potentially dragging the Black Fist into the thick of things. 1

I'm having flashbacks to a story I heard about where the author didn't know how to end it, so she had a dirigible fall from the sky and crush all her characters. 2
Mailliw73 he/him Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 (edited) Ummm....a lot? Scorch is going to die a traitor, so it might be nicely ironic to have Flashpoint stay loyal to the end. Only one or two Epics are what I'm trying to get rid of. That's true. Ugh, decisions, decisions. Yeah, getting attached to characters who are supposed to all die at the end of the RP is a problem. So a fight would break out pretty quickly afterwards, potentially dragging the Black Fist into the thick of things. Yeah... We don't have a problem with Nighthound or CorpseMaker, but some of these others are going to be hard to kill off, especially the human ones who I really like. I enjoy seeing how they fight against the oppressions, whether it's with snarky comments or guns. But could he hold off against Chimera's creatures? Chi wouldn't join the Wackos. If I go that route, it'll be more like a coupes of nicer Epics working with Black Fist and kind of forming their own group, but staying a part of the Black Fist. Edit: I should probably decide how many Chimerans Chi can control and how that number is based... Edited September 4, 2014 by Mailliw73 2
Jo and the Bush all/any Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 Does it count if Ray points behind Nighthound and yells "OMG it's CorpseMaker!" and then kills him when he turns his back? I will accept this as a tribute. 2
TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted September 4, 2014 Author Posted September 4, 2014 I wonder if there'll be a chance for Funtimes to make Dalek shells.... 1
Kobold King he/him Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 I wonder if there'll be a chance for Funtimes to make Dalek shells.... If so... basically, run. 1
TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted September 4, 2014 Author Posted September 4, 2014 If so... basically, run. As if zombies, a basilisk with a temper, a cheerful poisoner, Stalkerface McCreeperton, a guy who causes pain for fun, and actual DRAGONS aren't enough reason? 3
Mailliw73 he/him Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 I think any scenario where Ray kills Nigthound is accepted. I'd love that. So, for TT, here's an Epic I came up with. Does anyone, particularly one without many but anyone is welcome, want to adopt him? Strongsteel Epic Name: Strongsteel (not required) Human Name: Steven Santee Weakness: <PM'd to the GM> I have an idea, if you want it. Primary Power: Strength Enhancer: Anything that is non-organic, Strongsteel can strengthen. He enhances its fortitude and resistance. Secondary Power: He can cover anything he touches, that is not living, with steel. Appearance: Age: Home City: Interests: Job: Weaponry: I'd like to add one more Epic to Thoughttown, either Nightmare or a healer. Which do you guys think is better? I'll write this one. 1
Voidus Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 Voidus always has ideas for minor Epics I like Strongsteel, NightMare was supposed to be a bit of a joke on the continuous MLP references we have I'm happy to sacrifice Zip or Refill or both to CM 2
Voidus Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 So Kobold what do you want to do with the Aldo/PP scene?
Kobold King he/him Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 So Kobold what do you want to do with the Aldo/PP scene? Not entirely sure, but I'll figure something out. Maybe Aldo can bring him back to the Museum, and he can hypnotize him mostly off-screen?
Voidus Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 PP's first base is nearby, they could go there for it.
Kobold King he/him Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 PP's first base is nearby, they could go there for it. I'll get something written up soon, then. 1

Voidus Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 I can do that, most of my Epics are found together so they don't really require separate posts.
Mailliw73 he/him Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 Okay, that'd be cool! If you want to flesh out his bio, then I think we can have him officially accepted. And then we can talk about getting him into TT. Should I make a healer or Nightmare for TT? I'll do whichever.
Mailliw73 he/him Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 I'm fine with that. anything to make the final fight more fair destructive. Does someone want to volunteer to be one of the two? I'll do the other.
Voidus Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 Current work in progress. For his weakness I'm going to use whatever Mailliw came up with but don't tell me unless he's exposed to it, I choose to believe that he doesn't know his own weakness yet. Epic Name: Strongsteel (not required)Human Name: Steven SanteeWeakness: <PM'd to the GM>I have an idea, if you want it. Primary Power: Strength Enhancer: Anything that is non-organic, Strongsteel can strengthen. He enhances its fortitude and resistance. Secondary Power: He can cover anything he touches, that is not living, with steel. Appearance: Thickly built, no discernible neck, wears a wifebeater, hard hat and jeans, light stubble. Drinks Farmer Union Iced coffee, imported from Australia. (The best drink in the world)Age: 34Home City: Born in Sydney, Australia he moved to Chicago to be with his family, when Calamity took him he felt that Steelhearts powers overshadowed his own and so has set off to Portland so that his abilities might be more acknowledged.Job: Formerly a construction site manager.Weaponry: Carries a shield at all times which he keeps enhanced, and a giant flanged mace. 2
Mailliw73 he/him Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 Interesting idea with the weakness. I'll let Twi know then. It's funny that you made him a construction worker, I was picturing him as a steel worker too, so pretty close. 1
Voidus Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 Well, you know what they say about great minds.... I'm pretty sure that must apply to crazy-pony-creating minds too 1
